Thanks for this, but question, if I wanted the sheet to add H and V as 8 hours for holiday and vacation, how can I write that formula. Been having hard time trying to come up with it. Thanks in advance either way
It is complicated for Excel. My trick is to use time code, i.e. the numerical value of dates and times used by Excel for computation. Even for that, I have a spreadsheet with excessive, for my liking, amounts of cells with formulas. On top of that, my tables are less intuitive for others to use. The excessive formulas are for night pay calculations.
I know this is a year old, but I have a partial solution. It has the drawback of lunch breaks being between 11PM and 12 AM, so if the lunch break ends before midnight or the break occurs after midnight the calculation won't work. I don't know how to do a IF ELSE ELSE in Excel. The formula I have worked out is: =IF(B12>12,((B12-B9)-(B11-B10))*24,((B12-(B9+12))-(B11-(B10+12)))*24)
Hi I need help I am doing night shift and I work from 8 pm to morning 9 am That's 13 hours. But when I enter my time in time sheet instead 13 hours it minus the hours it shows 11 hours . Can u explain please

How do you deal with the overtime calculation if the hours are less than 40? It shows up as a negative number...

Show a time sheet having both breakfast and lunch and you work for over 12 hours
great 🥰
I wish you could’ve included work on a night shift, e.g starting from 06:00PM to 06:00AM, I struggle with such formulae in Excel
