Aww @alliejcurtin. I came across your channel when I had my appendix out. My hubby / kid and family went to Greece without me. I've followed from the beginning ans sad n happy that your moving at the same time. Looking forward to seeing what's ahead. Sam x❤
So happy for your new chapter despite the bittersweetness of leaving cabin! I could see this cabin to be put in airbnb or similar booking sites as an off grid experience for people to go and unplug from everyday life, to clear their mind etc. 😍
I have really enjoyed watching the cabin renovations and your daily living for the past 4 years. Best of luck with your move and I will be watching for new updates.
We feel the pain! We just moved and i have not had a chance to update my channel. It's so hard to live off grid!! I can tell you that as bad as you don't want to move away from everything you've accomplished... It's amazing once you go back to all the modern amenities. Don't feel too bad about it because it's actually a great change! Now i can start getting back into making my videos. You cant edit very good videos without the power to do it. We are so much happier where we are now! I guess i may have to change the channel name now tho. haha
Its the Effort Allie. From an old guy with grandkids. I can tell you, its Not easy. You can share your experiences with others now, Life IS Experiences. You both are more prepared, understanding survival, the requirements. Take care of You & Dillon and let it flow. G&G will love being around the kiddos, and Grandparents are Grand for the little people. My grandparents shaped me Immensely, love, manners, care and on & on. Congrats, you Learned so much. Maybe take the money..... buy a piece of dirt close to your parents place, plan on a getaway spot to go chill.... just an idea. I understand what it takes and im looking at land farther from where i am in Idaho. I been on my small lot for 4 years now. And it has been great, watching all you folks doing it, the hard tines and the Peace being that far out. Im Ready. But im also in a different place . The kids and grandkids are on both coasts and im in the middle.....just how life turned out , my full retirement is in 14 months. Then i can travel way more , buy a Big piece of land and go Full off grid. Enjoy the move, family and Rest...... be blessed , make us some vids, plant a garden and make New memories🙏🙏🙏Peace. I've talked to young people who lived off grid with their parents or parent and they say looking back it was the best growing up they've ever had so I would think twice about following in the path of your family's house
Hi just found your channel, also live in Ky. Actually moved here from Mi back in 1998. Always dreamed of going back home, but not really anyone left. Hubby is from eastern ky. Where are y'all from and what part of Kentucky?
@@alliejcurtin Hugs.. it def isn't an easy decision and your home is lovely. We have 52 acres here in mid central, and another 52 acres in eastern ky. Completely different types of land.
Excited for this next chapter of your life, sometimes the choices made for us turn out to be the best for us ❤️ My husband and i have been doing small living for the last 12 years (small home with 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom, and 1 living soace that is our kitchen, dining room and livingroom). We also live in a different country from my family who are the more helpful of our families. We had out first baby last year and are hoping to have a second next year. We love our life, were by tge beach in a lovely neighborhood, but living small is hard, especially with a toddler. Eventually we'll probably move to my home country where my family is. Itll be hard to leave this life weve built, but were at a stage in life where having a village will be the most important to our quality of life. Good luck with the move, you are going to be so happy with so many aspects of not being off grid!
Congratulations you guys. I think it's awesome that you're going to move back home. Hopefully you could keep your current house in the family. I can't wait to see what's going to happen.
Umm girl I’m there with you! My husband wants to live off grid but I have 3 kids and need a laundry machine and dishwasher or I’ll die 😱 Also we made the decision 3 years ago to move back to where our family lives and they are sooooooooooo helpful. My mom takes the kids once a week so I can re set the house and have some alone time… peace and quiet! We also lived with my parents for 3 months while we searched for a house. Not so bad.. way worth it
Bittersweet!!! But I wish you all the best! It is way hard to raise kids alone. Having a support system close is a game changer. Side note, where did you get the ring on your right hand??
Bummer. Watched first video and this. Want to buy land and live just like this. Was hoping to follow someone doing it. Too bad. Sounds like this was a good life. But, i understand. Kids change things.
I raised my 6 kids with no village but I know this generation wants that extra input. I was a Realtor though, not a content creator. Hope it works out well for you.
You will always be able to raise your children the way you want to BUT the convenience of family, utilities and more space will outweigh the sadness. All those cousins will be your babies best friends now and you will have help. I'm happy for you and love following your stories
@@alliejcurtin I am friends with your MIL and my son played baseball with Tommy so I know him and Alena. I know Paula loves having her babies close to her! New memories are waiting. Please keep posting because I want to see Murphy walk!!

Genuinely so happy for you guys to have your village! It’s bittersweet but I know you guys will make the most of your new adventure!

Sounds like a great new adventure. Thanks for sharing off grid life. Looking forward to some pottery videos and whatever comes next.
How exciting 😊😊
Oh my gosh!! What a huge change but completely understandable! Here for it!

Make the cabin an airbnb

Thank you so much! I am excited for the future! The ring was a gift from my mom when I turned 13.☺️
Your followers love you and your family and will continue to follow!
Also, will your parents be close by?
Yes! I can go into more detail on my next video! Thanks so much for watching :)

Not sure yet! I’ll be talking about it more in my upcoming video :)
why are your parents not moving into the cabin
Are your parents going to be close by?

@@alliejcurtin If you were raised by a baby boomer like my Mother, you'd understand why I wanted the village to stay wayyyyy over there. lol.
What state are you moving to?
Keep the cabin incase you change ya mind 🤷♀️
