I don’t get it with the sound mixing at festivals but the mixing is almost always terrible. The bass is too loud, the guitar is too quiet, the drums sound weak, and the vocals sound too dry. It’s usually not the case when it’s the bands own show so it has to be because the band isn’t able to use their own equipment at a festival.
There's a big difference between what we hear in live recorded show on TV and being there, as this guy said this is a live mixing, unlike labels official live videos, they take the live stems and remix/remaster it
I just saw them at a smaller club with Dragonforce and even I was able to appreciate the sound mix. My Dad also noticed but he always had a better ear for audio quality (and has been to waaaay more shows.
