Thank you! Yeah, I should have - I sadly didn't get the right footage to do so, though. So I'll tell you instead. On a regular muddy field, it is quite difficult to tell the difference between Grip Control or no Grip Control, but in more difficult situations, i.e. going up a muddy hill, it's quite evident, that the Grip Control system works well. The system does offer the option to turn the ESP completely off, which sometimes is the easiest and best option. There's no doubt that it is not a wonder system, but it helps a little in sticky everyday situations. So if you own a horse trailer, live up a dirt road, or the like, I believe it is worth the money. I hope that answers your question - if not, please say so :)
Thank you for your quick reply. But another question now arises. If you turn ESP off, won't you end up in a situation where one wheel loses grip and spins like crazy?
Theoretically yes, but in reality in a few situations it works better. In the video, when the car is going up the hill, ESP is turned off and the car is close to redline in 1st gear. In a similar situation another place it worked better in the mud-setting. So I'm afraid there is no definite answer and that it mostly depends on the situation that you find yourself in. You'll probably have to play around with the controls to figure out what setting fits best in different situations.
Great video!. It would be nice if you could show with and without Grip Contol behavior
