Police are there to make arrests so that the alleged criminals can face the full extent of our legal system. The police officer shot a man who was fleeing in the back. A fleeing man wielding a non-lethal does not pose a grave threat to the police officer, thus his shooting was incorrect and murderous.

Seattle has been going down hill for a very long time. Last time I was in Seattle it smelled like piss and was disgusting. I actually had an individual use the sidewalk as a personal restroom. This type of behavior is not acceptable in society. The Governor and Mayor should be opening more facilities for homeless, drug addicts and criminals. You need to get the problems off the streets and clean up the city. By allowing the problems to go unsolved you make it dangerous for families to live there. I honestly if given a chance to be in a position of authority like the mayor and governor wouldn't stand for this to go on. In the matter of letting people take over an area and demanding you to abide to terms is a terrorist act. You can't do this in America, I honestly don't get why politicians are not doing anything. By allowing this type of action in this country you put into people's mind that its okay to do. These people within this zone also need to pay for damages as well as serve time for their actions.

No, he was not. He shot a man who was fleeing the scene of a crime in the back. Police officers do not get to kill people for being disobedient. They are only allowed to shoot when they are put in grave danger by a suspect, and this was not the case. They failed their duties as law enforcement officers and committed murder in the process.
