Thank goodness I ran across this old video of yours! I have an old hymnal I picked up from a goodwill store and then got befuddled as to how to use the carols in the middle! This tutorial is perfect and this project has TODAY written all over it!
Your csrds sre fabulous! Music is always an integral part of the Christmas holidays! The recipients are going to love these! We had 4 inches of snow on the 30th. It is still with us so seeing your cards really put me in a holiday mood and I don't me Halloween. LOL. TFS. I did. God bless and stay safe.
Thanks Evelyn. I hope we have snow this year as we didn’t even had so much as a fluttering of the white stuff last year. It’s feeling very autumnal and with the gusts we’ve had over the past few days, the ground is covered in leaves. I’m not a fan of Halloween either. Thanks so much for the mail, I love it 💕. Stay safe, have a wonderful week, and thanks as always for sharing 💕
Thanks, Nina. Nice stag stencil. I have all 60 Christmas and Hanukkah cards are done! Now, I can focus on Petra’s first Christmas stocking and a dolly!
When you talked about this glossy paper from Australia I remebered that I've bought this paper too and that I was very disappointed about how glossy it was ... so I didn't use it. So today I thought I can use it in your way but then I had an idea and I used a sanding block to remove some of the glossiness and I worked! The paper turned out beautyfully grungy and perfect for all kinds of projects. Thank you for reminding me of a forgotten little treasure that I had in my stash :-)
These are very beautiful and I learned something new-that it’s ok to cut the layers down to size after assembling each one. Having to have all the measurements and all the layers pre-cut can make it a pain sometimes but watching the card “appear” as you go along is way more fun, not knowing what the end result will be and no rules to follow ... you’re so creative and I have some music paper and even a deer stencil! This one I can and will do. ❤️
Thanks Amanda. I find it much easier to do a layered card this way where the elements are different sizes. I have an envelope punch board so it takes seconds to whiz up an envelope that fits to size 💕
Thanks Kylie. I can’t quite believe we are doing Christmas in November and it’s certainly a first for me, but it should be a fun month in the group again 💕
I have been making my Birthday, holiday, Christmas, etc cards for years. My friends have all kept them and they have a large pile of my cards they can look through and enjoy them all over again
The carols are traditional but putting those non-Christmas papers behind them makes them unusual, special and really, really attractive. I like these so much, Nina. Many thanks.
Thanks Edna, I’m really pleased with how beautiful the non festive paper looks and I was glad to be able to use it. Such a shame it has such a plasticky feel as the designs are gorgeous. Happy Creating 💕
Thanks Kay. I used up the rest of my Kraft card stock making the rest of my cards. I can’t believe how expensive it was to order some more. Paper prices have rocketed! Stay safe 💕
Love it. I still make more cards than I do anything else. I find that the problem with making the card any old size you want is that then your pre made envelopes don’t fit and you have to make a custom envelope which is a pain when you are making dozens. Also if you make A6 cards which fit the envelopes you will get exactly two out of one piece of card stock with no waste
Good morning nina, november already and it is autumn big time, lovely days with sun, grey days with lots of wind and rain, leaves in the streets the trees, so colourful, i have learned to embrace it. That took some time I can tell you. Loved the greetingcards you made and we should all make a big effort this year to make the holidays nice and warm, very uncertain how it is going to be for us all, but sending eachother nice messages is a good start. I hope everything is well with you, have a good week, stay safe, lots of love lenaxxx
Good morning Lena. It’s been grey and blustery here too and the leaves are heavily falling from the trees, but the sun is shining today so we will be out in the garden later to tidy up. Covid is continuing to cause major uncertainty for all of us isn’t it so I agree we need to make extra effort to send positivity and kindness to our friends. Have a wonderful week. Hugs 💕 xxx
Well I'm late to this party.... Nothing new there then!!! Still haven't done mine but lovely ideas here.... I love the phomemo stag, I forgot I have a transparent roll... 🤔🤔🤔 Need to play maybe!! Thanks for the inspiration Nina 💖🎄☃️🎅❄️
Thank you so much Nina, I absolutely love 💕 those cards. They’re so stunning and gorgeous too. I love 💕 to the way you’ve used items you already have. And I’m sure you ever you send them to they will love 💕 and keep them for ever. I still have the one you send me a couple of years ago, hanging in my craft room, I shall always treasure it, because you made it. Please stay safe and well too xxx Mags
Thank goodness for a Sunday pick me up from Nina after last night’s news! Lovely cards Nina, I still have the one you sent me last year on my pin board! 💫
These are so lovely tfs Nina...I have been laid low with Sciatica and then has my Sister up for a few day then had to have an Injection in my right eye as my sight is not so great in it so have not been around much...Kia Kaha...
Beautiful cards Nina, I need to get on and make some before time runs out! I used a stag stamp last year, so need something a bit different and I love the idea of stencilling xxx💕
Great ideas! I would certainly keep all of those cards. I enjoy using my Phomemo printer very much. Just a word of caution: it took over 3 months for the printer to arrive after I was notified that it had shipped. It comes from China. Contacting the company was very challenging.
Thanks Louise. Thanks for letting me know of the delivery and contact issue. It seems everything is taking far far longer to arrive from overseas due to the pandemic which can be very frustrating 💕
I love what you've done with these Nena. They are ideal in their simplicity for mailing but what would you do about envelopes since they are all different sizes?
Morning Nina, Thanks for today’s video it’s spurred me onto make some more Christmas cards. I was wondering do you make individual envelopes to match the differing sizes of your cards. Thought I might try layering the Christmas ephemera from the August Your Creative Studio box with some Indian textile backgrounds. Might be OK might be heading for the bin!
Morning Anthony. If I have a ready made envelope that fits then I will use it, otherwise I will make one to fit using my envelope punch board as they only take a minute or two to make. Glad your box has arrived. Enjoy 💕
Hello Nina, quelles belles cartes, j'adore comme d'habitude ! Où as-tu trouvé ces papiers magnifiques qui servent de background ? Merci d'avance pour la réponse. Take care
Bonjour Muryel.
The paper from Australia that took forever and was disappointing, did you buy it from Flonz? Asking because I had the same experience with plastic-y “card stock.”
Nina Ribena Yep, even more disappointing for the long, long wait. I had forgotten the plastic paper until you mentioned. Did I mention what a long wait it was? ;o) still have one of their stamps, which I almost like. But there’s weird about it, too. So, they’re able to survive without any repeat business, because who would buy from them a second time? Bizarre!
Hi Lynn, sorry if this disappoints, but I won’t be changing my format. I don’t do voice over’s, but do heavily edit my videos (hence the fade in’s) to stop them being far too long.
Love, love, love these cards!! BEAUTIFUL!
Absolutely love these cards. Right down my alley .

What a brilliant idea to sand the paper. I bought 3 different designs so still have a lot more to use up. I will give that a try myself ❤️
