Warren, it is nice to see you guys doing these short videos on a lot of these things. I wish I would have had them to view when I got my camper. Well done!

Responding to the sliding of the camper while tied down with fastguns…On my previous camper the front tie downs were at more of an angle so the tension worked one against the other. On my NL the front tie downs are more straight up and down and the front of the camper tends to slide a bit to the side when hitting large bumps - the rear sits still. Heavier towards the rear my NL tends to want to rock more than my previous shorter and lighter camper, so whether the tie down tension needs to be set a bit higher in the front verses the rear I’m not sure. I constructed a plywood deck to raise the camper as recommended and placed two stopper blocks with polyurethane sliders on either side of the bed - I’m experimenting with the spacing between the stopper blocking and the camper right now - I only want to keep the camper from sliding more than an inch. My truck is a super duty Ford with the Ford camper mat atop a plywood deck, and nothing is shifting or sliding there, so it’s got to be the movement of the camper. It would be great to hear from those experiencing similar sliding and how you addressed it and how you set up your fastguns.

Newbie question - can you remove the jack stand legs during travel? It looks really close to the rear door and will get in the way while off roading.....

I cant tell what the bottom of the tie down is clipping into...something on the truck? something I have to add to the truck? It was just a little dark....

May be a stupid question but how does the camper not slide out towards the back of the truck? Is there something else that needs to be done or is that it? Thank you

Campers are held in place with tie downs. They attach to points that are connected to your trucks frame.

@@NorthernLiteTruckCampers i know that the camper is tied down with camper tie downs front and back sides, but how do you keep the camper from sliding even with tie downs in place?

@@aceman1741 this is the reason I'm here. My 9-6 keeps sliding to the right side, I'm researching some kind of soft block

Is it ok to get a flatbed and put the tie down on and then customize the side utility walls?
