You're right about this being close to the end of human hearing. Average human hearing range goes from 20 kHz (C10) down to 20 Hz (about a E0) and Geoff is hitting B0 which is around 30 Hertz. It's pretty darn amazing.
All of them were incredible, but I especially loved 'fierce Cesar'! He doesn't get a chance to show his power that often. And even Layne managed to add some grit to his usually sweet, mellow tone during his solo! Eli's verse a couple octaves over everyone else just awed (he was back & forth from a B4 to a D5). And of course, Geoff ... well, he Geoffed. Nuff said.
You're right it's a B0. He is getting more proficient at hitting it. Geoff also just dropped "Man Of Constant Sorrow" with more LOW notes. They are working on a set that the air-conditioning isn't working. They are in heavy hot costumes and makeup. Everyone was grumpy but pushed through it. Dedication. I believe this was twelve hours of hell for them. I feel in my heart that they are keeping J. None's spot open, just filling it with featured guests.
Side note: With Voiceplay, never stop watching until the patreons roll. There isn't anything on this one, but it's not uncommon for there to be. With Geoff's solo stuff too.
Valhalla is Odin's Hall where those who died in battle are taken to fight each day and feast each night as they prepare for Ragnarok where the Gods join the humans to fight the Frost Giants, akin to Armageddon.
They're in berserker mode, ready to go to war and to enter Valhalla. Miracle of Sound is the writer of this song and he gave this version 10 out of 10 lifted ale horns. He has at least 3 version out: solo, featuring Peyton Parrish (who has his own video), and featuring Peyton Parrish and Eric Hollaway. Now THAT man has a deep voice! And oh yeah. The rap is unique to VoicePlay's take on this song, which will forever be my favorite version.
Great reaction! I'm surprised you risked taking that second sip. The rap was great, I love "THIS IS WAR" half way through, and it was held forever. Layne was fantastic. I have to remind myself each time I see this that J did not actually break through a wooden door that creaked shut behind him - it was all Layne! I can see that you are a huge fan, I hope you will do more reactions to them. And you haven't reacted to any of Geoff's solo work. He just dropped Man of Constant Sorrows today, in case you need somewhere to start. Subscribed in anticipation of more!
Yep, a B0 and it’s insane… As a classically trained opera singer, I’m constantly blown away and I’d worked with some great basses. I’m also a metalhead. Haha. I love VoicePlay. Both my music sides are happy.
The rap is not part of the original, but was written for J.None (I don't remember who wrote it, but it was a name I didn't recognize). Isn't it phenomenal?!
Love your reactions, you are the real deal Fireman....you should watch the original version by Miracle of Sound, and the composer Peyton Parrish. Awesome🤩 Then, catch Voice plays Dragonborn Comes. I'm happy to be a fan of your channel.
My first time watching you, and I am already subscribed. You absolutely heard and appreciated everything I've picked up on... and I've heard it at least 20 times. Fantastic reaction!!
🎼🎼🔥🎼🎼 .. I love this song by Voiceplay, and I definitely like your reaction. I hope you do some more acapala .. nice share , thanks. And , salute to you for choosing to be a fireman. 🇺🇲
Peyton Parrish singing this per the Viking throat singing with the who/huff at end which vikings did to psyche up the warriors is great. I really like both versions of this. Voiceplay can sing a phonebook and make it epic! Thanks for your reaction! May God bless and keep you always!❤🎉🙏
The lowest note the human ear can perceive as a note and not a vibration is around D0. Some people can perceive down to about A negative 1, whereas, others are only good to about E0. My lowest perceived note is about B negative 1... even though I can actually fry an octave lower than that... I have to look at it on a scope, since my ear cannot tell there is actually a note there - I can only get close by feeling the vibration.
Bosendorfer makes a piano with extra keys down to C0 it is the 290 model afull 3 meters long. It was requested by Bussoni for his Bach transcriptions to cover a 32' organ pipe.
At one point you stopped on a closeup of Eli’s face. That right there is exactly why I think he’s an amazing actor. Just look at his face, his eyes-terrifying. All these guys are great actors, but Eli just transforms-normally he’s so chill. Cesar blew me away as well-HUGE change from what we usually see and hear. Great reaction!!
Yes, that was a B0 that Geoff hits at 25 seconds and he hits it a total of I believe 5 times throughout the video. This is FIRE!!! Eli hits such high rock notes later on in the video, and it gives chills. WOW!!!
Viking myths had several different afterlives that you were placed in by the gods depending on what you've done and how you died. Valhalla was specifically reserved for warriors who died honorably in battle.
The bottom end of the human hearing range (like the top end) varies a bit from individual to individual. Online sources typically say 20Hz, which is somewhere around E0, but that's an average. B0, at around 30Hz, should be audible to almost everyone, but depending on how good your ears are the B0 may not sound as loud to you as a higher note with the same technical volume would sound, and that's assuming your speakers can handle it properly in the first place. A lot of cheap speaker systems either can't produce a note that low at all, or do a lousy job with it, in terms of volume, accuracy, and timbre. The speakers built into small electronic devices (and/or computer monitors) are particularly bad. If your subwoofer weighs more than a can of pop and has a (driver) diameter of at least eight inches, it should be fine.
They parked Geoff in the basement for this one so the others could really soar. They are just so fantastic. And Valhalla is specifically the afterlife for those who died in battle. I also 10/10 recommend Gav (Miracle of Sound)'s original version. He is so talented.
First time catching you - I like what you picked up on. Super observant. 😊. Subscribed! Also: You may want to check their new cover of Seven Nation Army. It’s…fierce…to put it mildly.
I usually tend to have a favorite for each song, but there was NO way to pick this time. So EPIC!! You mentioned Eli's rock god voice in the background and I had to laugh because I knew what was coming. I knew you wouldn't be ready for J either. This song got me so pumped up I had to pull out my inner Viking and go throw hatchets the next night. Best score to date. They wound up playing this for everyone on repeat half the night. LOL
The only way for men to get into Valhalla was to die in battle. Women got in by dieing in battle or child birth. It is one of the reasons raiding was alright in Their culture. Those who died went to their ideal heaven as did those they killed. They saved them from Hel (yes spelled with one L as in the Goddess Hel, and Hel was a frozen waste land not fiames). They thought they were saving them from dieing in their sleep of old age and ending up damned.
He did 3 B0s in this. He uses subharmonics. B0 is the lowest note on the piano. One of my reactors got hold of Miracle of Sound and the guy he was talking to said this was it. Same opinion as you! VoicePlay has the tryout for Cesar becoming a full member. The video is We're Good (and it is good),
B-zero. It's not the lowest note that a human ear can perceive. The lowest frequency a human can hear is 12 Hz. For reference: A B0 is at 30.87 Hz. A C0 is 16.35 Hz so you could hear a sound about an octave and a half lower than B0
@@georgehoeflinger1400 Though, I've seen clips where Layne shows how to "fix" their recordings ... if they were a little off-tune. The problem today is with all gear and technique, you can only trust what you hear live, and with the quick development, maybe without going through a mixer table. Check out Rick Beato and Wings of Pegasus!
Yes, the note by Geoff at 0:25 is a B0 and was held for 15 seconds.

Voice Play has a new song coming out April 28th.
VoicePlay are really out there on their own now in my opinion. Especially considering it's all their own work, with no record label to boost them.
Voice play isn't up there with Pentatonix and Home Free. Voice Play leads the Pack.
@@janeteitsworth8824 They are in a league of their own. I don't know of any other group who even attempts what they do. :)

Yes! They all did phenomenally, but I adored "fierce Cesar" as he got to show a side of him we rarely see.
I don't recall who it was that did the comparison, but Eli was on par with Whitney Houston on the high notes.
@@Mark_Agamotto1313_Smith ... I'm pretty sure that was the Fairy Voice Mother. It was a great analysis!

Cesar is very much a character actor. Watch him in In The Hall of the Mountain King. He's a little IMP.

I think so, too. J just meshes with them so well vocally and personality wise. I think they are saving his spot.
Side note: With Voiceplay, never stop watching until the patreons roll. There isn't anything on this one, but it's not uncommon for there to be. With Geoff's solo stuff too.
Same with Geoff. And with Home Free, Austin Brown, and Tim Foust.
Actually, the music playing while the patrons roll is the karaoke version from their Patreon site
“I’m not ready”…don’t worry, no one was ready for that.❤
