This has been in the files for many years. It represents how our horse “dies” for a second when we take a dangerous fall. Otherwise, this could be something they have been working on for many years. Like, something huge. Considering otherwise, this most likely be the falling/ dangerous fall feature.

Sometimes when SSO wants to remove a character from somewhere they put them in an unavailable object or underground. I think Starshine gets sucked into the portal/dies by it/idk :)
If a horse has to die in the game, it's probably gonna be our starter, because all of us started the game with our starter, and we all have done everything with our starter! so, i think that our character is gonna do a very dangerous quest, and then our starter will protect us! and sadly die :( (Sorry if i didn't explain well)
as much as i love my starter, i think that would be an amazing decision story wise. our starter horse was after all, some random horse from moorland. imagine if it did die, but rose up from the ashes like phoenix and reincarnated into a beautiful jorvik wild horse, reaching it’s full potential. imagine, watching your starter die, losing all hope and giving up, but then it comes back, more powerful than ever! that would be such a powerful moment! and would give our starters so much more depth and meaning!

I feel like this is possible, but it would be strange to have two foal guardiian horses who died- starshine AND concorde. Maybe it's like, we think starshines dead but he pops up and saves the day later? Or, it could just be a different random horse and that was just put there for storage, like the TextSkin thingy Also another thing about the Horse Die files is that some people think those are there just so scare us, because right after those codes it says "We know you read these" It's very possible it's just meant to scare us But with this discovery, it gives us many more hints. How long has starshine been there? As long as the horsedie codes? Is horse die an old plan that was cancelled, or is it in development? Who knows.....

Well i was playin story quests with the oil rigg and u know what? Linda says that in the future we (de player) will be in danger with our horse. So i quess we and the horse are gonna die.
@@mightymoon02 Dying doesn't neccesarily mean being gone in this case. And it would be story releated, so we'd die and it would be somehow solved in the same quest.
I highly doubt we’re gonna die. That would really kill the point since this is supposed to be an online game with a story line too. Having the storyline be more important than the online aspect would be weird. I would totally see our starter dying tho
Maybe it is just testskin. When wildwoods were closed, there was a testskin with Alex and her horse. So it can be any of horses in storyline. That is just my theory

We are supposed to have a special bond to our starter horse, so that would be a really cool quest if the player would help the starter to come alive again. Once I saw a video of what I think was old sso or star shine legacy, star shine reared, fell over and needed a vet urgently in a cutscene, it could be fake or something that they almost added but thought would be too sad for a soul rider horse to DIE. And if the starter dies then they have no horses which kind defeats the purpose of the game. But it is possible Starshine might die but because they killed Anne’s Concorde I think the files are us learning about that.
