I'm a 59 year young fan of these magical ladies..my Mom of 94 years just passed away.left my heart broken..I found this song watching legacies..I searched till I found fireworks..that was july.today is October..I cant stop listening to these beautiful songs by first aid kit..filled my heart with joy even in my saddened time..
I don't know how I missed this until now, but it's perfection. That old Gibson sounds great.
It started five years ago
When I heard Walk Unafraid. Then Emmylou, then Silver Lining, then Lions Roar, and i felt the 60s and 70s come alive in the 3rd Millennium. We are so blessed to discover this wonderful confluence of voices. You’ve made my 21st century. I am 71 and get all chocked up when I hear certain phrases. The bridge of Emmylou tears me apart. Pure inspiration and delight. 🙏🏼

God these women are so talented. Unreal. Precocious and virtuso are grand understatements. What a gift to the world. Thank you both for making such beautiful music. I live in Tucson, AZ. All my friends and my teenager kids are like, "Can you ever stop singing Emmylou?" And I say nope, listen to the gals sing it once and you'll be hooked for life.

I was missing you both, it started raining here in the South of Brazil so i looked for a live performance to remember the songs i first heard of you, read 1. Ghost Town and immediately turn the volume to the max. I was singing every one of them until The Gambler, i decided to skip to the next one that's one of my favourites i was waiting to listen and sing along, but wow, 2 seconds of The gambler was enough to catch my full attention and a few more made me feel so lucky i didn't skipped all of it, omg, i usually don't fall in love with a song at the first time i listen to it but it's First Aid Kit, i just can't help it.
Can't say anything else more than "thank you". And i love you.

In Stockholm you'd better stay at home because the Swedish government's approach to this virus is very unorthodox. They haven't even closed their schools yet, they're not planning to close the restaurants, gyms that already closed are reopening, etc. They've had 77 corona deaths now. Here in neighboring Finland we've had 5, and Norway's had 14.
It's more complicated than that though...

Ghost Town was always a beautiful song. However, y'all took it to another level. It's obvious that you two have been through some major struggles since the original recording. You now sing it with more pain and conviction. It was transcendent. Thank you for sharing this with all of us.

Being this humble when you're such a "sweet young thing and oh so gifted" just shows us even more how amazing you guys are. As a fan of the 1960s folk boom, the early 70s singer songwriter boom, It was obvious I'd love First Aid Kit. One of the best . I did see you a whole ten years ago in a small club ! You signed my Cds and were selling the merch yourself. Im so pleased your succesful now, but as your music is very 'personal' , i do miss the small venue days. Please keep that spirit.
