I am also an action figure collector and a huge McFarlane fan.
I also do action figure photography.
I post some action figure shorts from time to time - I have to really get back into it.
Yes, McFarlane kicked off the DC multiverse 7 inch line in January of 2020.
As for the question you raised regarding the axe 🪓 - this figure with the costume & weapons is a remake of the 6 inch...
DC Universe Classics WONDER WOMAN Action Figure Wave 4 Fig. 1.
That figure is of course, not as of great a quality as the McFarlane figure - however, depending on how you position your camera, you can get at certain angles, some very descent shots, if you're into action, figure photography.
Another difference is the boot on the original has a moderate heel on it - just like Linda Carter's Wonder Woman from the television series from the 70s.
Another difference is the original is much thinner despite these differences, it's still a great figure.
If you're interested, it's available on eBay for around $29.99 last I looked, which was actually about 5 minutes ago.
I agree. I hope he does begin to make more female action figures.
A few of them, he let out the gate with bad quality control.
Specifically, the first Wonder Woman, 1984 with those long shapeless hot dog legs.
And of course, we cannot forget the overly long legs on the first Batgirl action figure he released.
I dare not forget to mention the Kate Kane Batwoman action figure that he released.
It was just awful for so many reasons and the quality control was bad.
I had to fix her leg because she wouldn't stand.
The female character I'm waiting for him to release is the Ryan Wilder Batwoman action figure - from season 2 and season 3 of Batwoman that aired on The CW.
I was so heartbroken when they took it off the air because it was my favorite TV show in many years.
Season 1 with Ruby Rose was great but when Javicia Leslie got the role, she knocked it out the park in season 2 and season 3 was completely phenomenal.
We even had a Black Joker, it was top tier.
And to wrap up regarding McFarlane's female figures and the issues that people have had with several of them - I'll end it with the Batgirl he released from the video game.
Her feet were too little, and she could barely stand.
And overall she was just poorly made.
This is the one where she has the purple outfit with the tiny thin yellow cape.
The figure was released in the same wave as Robin and Red Hood.
That figure was dreadful.
I believe if he really is precise on quality control, he could produce some really great female action figures and people will really purchase them.
And they won't be peg warmers as he says.
Keep up the great work with the channel.
You're right -- every single female character you listed would be awesome to have. I know that women characters don't sell quite as well, but I really don't get the dudes who want to keep it so limited. Not only do all kinds ofcharacters complete the little worlds we collect, there are tons of women who collect, read comics, and game too. Like, obviously!! HelloOo!!
Even when I forward your vids to friends who might be interested, two out of three of them are women, no joke. Sometimes I want to say to the dudes who hold their stuff so close to the chest that they all need to get their head outta their @$$😂😂😂😂
In fact, another female friend who's a professional musician and I are working on an animation video, and when I hop off here I'm gonna go back to your slideshow story you made, of Batman fighting Clayface, to show her how many different types of cool animated stories can be made. And, she's a Batman fan too. ;)
