LEFTY FRIZZELL, WHAT A SINGER, COULD LISTEN TO HIS SINGING ALL NIGHT & THEN SOME ! GOD BLESSED HIM & TOOK HIM TO HEAVEN. I JUST KNOW HE'S A SINGING IN GODS HEAVENLY QUIRE !
And I'm one of them currently in Altus, Ok. My maiden name is Mulkey. Abe is my grandpa sadly Lefty passed before I was born but I've heard many stories heard many recording's. Super proud of him.
I like to listen to Lefty for the good memories, undeniably best old country music, and to re-gather myself from the chaos in this world. I should have been playing Lefty at my first jog in Roswell (1972) since that was one of his homes.
It's funny that one would say he's doing some of Merle Haggards songs when it's actually the other way around. He is still a big influence on country music still today as Merle will be in the future. Oh and not to mention Willie.
Lefty inspired a slew of mega country stars. He was way ahead of his time. RIP, mr. Frizzell.
He's still with us - his spirit will always be ! Thanks for country music when it's great like this - not Hollywood - real country !
He sure did didn't he? Even Keith Whitley said if was gonna be compared to anyone it'd be Lefty than anyone else.

What a QUAGMIRE!
Might be my favorite "Lefty" song, just listen to those harmonies and the guitar fill is outstanding....
Which song?
@@GatorRock789 First one, I wrote that before the second one came on....
I checked out the harmony singer's bio, pretty interesting.....
What a sweeheart. Was there ever a sadder lilt in a human voice?
He paved the way for a lot of country singes.
We lost Lefty 46 years ago yesterday. RIP. 😍

LEFTY FRIZZELL
What could be better than Lefty and Abe Mulky? How about adding George Jones? What a trio that would be in heaven!
Marvelous Country Artist and band. Thanks Gator Rock 🌹🎼🎶

"Jogging" is very hard on the knees!
I so do love this great artist.
What an inspirator to later artists.
His old live TV show appearances are fabulous.
I navigated the bottom third of many a bottle of demon rum while listening to this man.
Heard this again today, hoping to share both! Such a fantastic voice. ❤
Always loved Lefty
One of the greatest C&W artists. Never met Lefty, but Abe Mulkey in Nashville in 1974.
One of the top three.
