  • Part 2: Take a tour with our in-house historian, Paul Ullson, through the fascinating Fitzalan Chapel. Founded in 1380 by the 4th Earl of Arundel, the chapel has had a varied history, including damage during the Civil War in 1643-4. After a period of neglect, it was restored during the 19th century and is now one of our lovely surprises for you to find in our gardens.

    Cromwell turned this chapel into a stable, among other desecrations.Its part of Arundel Priory, Where a close relative lived + worked for a while, when it became a care home,patronised by Duke of Norfolk
