NSBW: The Clove Hitch

National Safe Boating Week (NSBW) is the last weekend in May. Remember to boat safely all year long. The Clove Hitch is used to tie line to a post or a rail (with an allternate way to tie.) The third knot of five in this series, per Chapman's Piloting, the bends and twist of the Clove Hitch take the strength of the line down to 60% of original strength.
