Sears Water Softener Series 300

General/simple maintenance points to check ensuring water flow and softening. As I am getting a new water heater, time to do it. Main problem was I could not get the unit to regenerate. After checking all those points, a little further research showed the main valve had gotten bumped into bypass. Marked with a sharpie "left arrow BYPASS" for future reference. Water Soft now, no water standing in the brine tank, all is good.
