Switched from my Rockwell T2 SS to my Merkur Futur yesterday. TOBS Cedarwood whipped up and applied with Simpson T3 Trafalgar. An amazing close 3 pass shave. Zero stung from the Alum block. Proraso leather and wood balm. No nicks, no burn. Just a wonderful satisfying shave. One of a retired mans many pleasures. A Merry Christmas to you and yours Kevy. Cheers!

Great shave kevy! The Simpsons T2 & T3 are my go-to synthetics. Nice backbone, lathers any soaps easily, quick to clean and dry. I got a 10/10 shave yesterday with my 6S, plate 4, 3rd use Feather blade and Arko soap. Used my T3 brush too.

Pearl sent me a free razor. Black oc. They also sent me pearl man Barber shop and coffeebean shave soap. It did the job but i didnt like the smell. I gave it to my friend he loved the soap
Am defo like you my nicks and weepers reappear for2/3 shaves ...usually solve by leaving big gaps between scrapes...
Nice shave Kevy. I also have a similar problem with open combs, a certain part of my neck just seems to resist the open comb touch. Funnily, R41 (the modified version with a safety bar) as a daily driver works like a charm for me.
Lovely shave Kevy. I bought this razor direct from Pearl in India over a year ago. I have a number of their razors and the K2 is probably my favourite out of all the razors I possess. But for some reason I cant use the Hammer. Its such a beautiful razor and as you state it is very well made. But whichever blade I use in it it cuts me to bits! Such a shame!

When I go for 3-4 days of not shaving, I use the safety type razor. It will not clog with longer stubble and is easy to clean. It doesn't shave that close with the single razor. Then I quickly use a 2 blade disposable to get the close shave feel.
With the right technique you should be able to get ad close a shave with a DE as a multiblade razor.

I rinse the blade and place it in a safe place for a few hours, the put it back.in it's wrapper and store it in a small plastic tub. Kevy 😃
