That’s awesome! I can tell you that I have watched motorsport for over 40 years, and this was one of the most amazing races I’ve ever seen in my life. I’m not sure how much NASCAR and NASCAR fans are aware of just how much this has generated interest overseas in Australia and New Zealand, and brought fans To nascar that might never have watched unless this had happened. Everybody is tuning in not only to watch SVG in the series, but also in the Cup as well. I think Nascar has done a great job in bringing new fans to the sport.
Thanks for the great comment. I think they do and this Hall of Fame exhibit is proof. What Julie Giese and Winston Kelley said later in the video also indicates they understand his importance to the sport.
@@chris8video i’m glad to hear that. Now they just need to give him a decent car without any mechanical problems, and I’m sure he will be upfront fighting for the win again soon. :-)

Living legend. Go get em SVG. NASCAR needs to know how much he moves the needle. He’s a breath of fresh air for xfinity and cup racing. Actual substance behind a driver
To see SVG get his suit and boots into the NASCAR hall of fame this early tells you something about him. He moves the needle alright. I went from watching nascar in the 2000s to 2010s then stop watching it for years but now with svg in it and cam waters coming to it soon in truck series, im back watching every week
@@AussieRick101I mean he was hugely popular back home, and the Aus media was always looking for drama and a story, so he hated having his words taken out of context for clicks. Theres a bunch of people here who have no fucking idea who he is or how good he was in the V8s, so they are fascinated by him and his silly accent
Thanks to my hometown for supporting a Great NASCAR race and congrats to SVG!

With Supercars decision to not post highlights anymore on YT, I'm watching more Nascar than V8 Supercars this season
What was amazing about it? The rain? The drivers crashing due to water on the paint? The lack of RACING for the lead? The race stunk, sorry!

Heck yah. There will never be a first again. Well deserved. 2/3 of the field messed up, champions going to the wall.

The man SVG.
I wonder if SVG gets a similar level of media attention back home?
His demeanor reminds me of Marcos Ambrose so much!

He is more into less press more racing that he does in US less racing in Australia and more media around races...
@@AussieRick101only coz the media sucks at home. Always looking for negatives and trying to start trouble
ya got 3 clicks@@salkdhfpoahergpoahre1534 I say that bunch ain't got a fuckin clue anyway, Aussie & Kiwis love the Australian V8 Supercars.
One thing missing is his red bull helmet lol
An exhibit for an event that’s only had one race, wow! Nascrap is just trying to ride this guy for the group of fans he brings! Not a fan of his!
That's obvious 😂. Sounds like sour grapes tó me. Who kiçked you out of bed ? 😂
No ones a fan of yours either
