"AWAY ROOM AND DOWNSTAIRS BATH" - One of the ways that a Not So Big House works is that rooms do "Double Duty". In the Not So Big Showhouse, Sarah Susanka demonstrates how the Away Room provides space for use as a home office, a kid's game room, a guest bedroom, and a quiet place of remove. What appears to be a Powder Room for everyday use is actually a full-size bath for guests, with the shower behind a sliding door that separates it from the main space but leaves it ready for use when needed. The Laundry Room on the second floor also serves as a Craft Room or an in-home office. As the Showhouse sits on a narrow lot with adjacent homes, the windows and design of the Stair Tower play a vital role in drawing light to the interior center of the home.

I love watching these for the past few years I keep coming back to it. In New Zealand this would cost a million dollars to build so watching is all I can ever do lol
