  • "LIVING AREA AND KITCHEN" - In the Not So Big Showhouse, Sarah Susanka describes how "Wall Thickness" can provide personality to a plain wall by using depth for character, and color for differentiation. A "Point of Focus" feature in the kitchen, and "Differentiating Space from Space" through trim bands, soffits, color and lighting define the living and dining areas. There is a "Theme and Variation" personified in the dream window designed by Sarah in the Library that is repeated throughout the home and ties it together in a unique way - just like in a classic piece of music.

Thank you for doing what you do! Your work seems to incorporate sacred geometry, which is so important in our living environments. I love how you spoke about moving the table into the other room for large parties. This is exactly how people can live in a beautiful way without wasting space.
