Hey Moo Moo thanks for stopping by my channel I don’t know if it will help you much but I hope it gives you an idea on how it’s rigged up I tried my best to show people how I do it so they can catch some Mudd salmon lol
Trolling speed depends on which way you’re trolling on the river. Usually I troll just fast enough to get the flasher rotating properly. You can shorten or lengthen the leader to give the cut plug more jerking action for a reaction bite or less for spooky fish. I’ve been using this setup for 5 yrs now. Before it was popular on the sac. Lots of ways to play with them to fit the bite.
Love your videos! I bought a bunch of this gear and tried running it for the first time yesterday downtown. I have a couple questions. What is your setback when trolling around the bridges? I seemed to be dragging the bottom pretty hard at 70 feet. Also are you using 10oz weights? I was using 3-4oz and seemed to be getting twisted like the spreader was rolling with the flasher. Is this because I was using to light of weight? Thank you!
Love ur videos, great attitude ! But I do have a question ! Will that rig be more effective or the spinner rig with the triangle flasher around the rio vista area or isleton ?
@@jonadam5392 work on the silvertrons and flying c today at Isleton and Rio vista, long hot summer made the weeds grow bigger this year lot of weed snag every trolling setup even with light tackle !
Old Man And The Sea thanks for inviting me my Salt water master I been enjoying all your catches since I can’t make it out there keep your videos coming J.
Ronnie Johnson so close right off the marin coast Stinson beach, rocky point and Muir beach. The guys on kayaks been getting limits like 500 feet off the beach.
Bryen Grandlund it depends on the depth main key it to hit bottom with the weight then crank it up so the weight is right off the bottom. Let line out if needed or bring line in if needed it’s a lot of work but very effective I like it more then pulling spinners
Is trolling just done differently this far up to Sacramento? In Walnut Grove it’s 130 to 170 feet of line maybe a half ounce or an ounce sinker, Roll/barrel swivel 2 to 3 feet of leader line and your silver Tron.
Cut plugs requires more weight to keep it down to the bottom, I use 10oz and keep it just off the bottom. I don't worry how far back, just needs to be off the bottom, sometimes I'm just behind the boat. Speed just depends on how fast the current it running at the time, just watch the flasher to see that it's rotating properly. The quick release on the flasher disconnects when you get a bite allowing you to fight the fish and not the flasher.
Yea I use 12-16 oz weights and don’t have more than 40 feet of line out usually. Really depends on depth. For me it’s depth x 2 = amount of line off the reel. Sometimes I’ll have 17’ of line or 80’. Get the fish in quicker.
TC - King Fisherman of the Sacramento River! Can’t wait catch some salmon with you this year. 👍🙏🎣⚒
Oh yeas
Thanks for the tips! Salmon fishing for the first time this year!
Thanks for the tutorial. Rewatching this so I learn it correctly.

My favorite is Try pro cure fish nip with pro cure bloody tuna or sardine or anchovie mixed.
Thanks for the info, do you have the link for Tornado Lures?
How far back do you fish cut plugs behind the boat vs the side? Never seen anyone cover that before.
Bro do you make your own quick releases for the Toronto Flasher or do you buy them and if so what brand/company do you use?
Thanks!😁🎣🎣😁
Now it is time to catch some kings brother. Your set up look awesome. I have never tried to troll for kings in the river. Good luck.
Thank you for the great info.

Romancito Barcibal in that area use the spinners
So Rio Vista/Isleton spinners work better(Blue Fox,Silverton )?

Pack the tuna in the lower hole and it won't wash out so easy.
Do you like tuna? I prefer procure oils especially the sticky gel!
@@OldManAndTheSea Tuna works for me so that's just what I use.
Any luck from running different sizes to the original super baits (skinny’s)
Thanks again
Gotta come out to the ocean man it’s wide open right now got 3 yesterday they are in really close!

Connected Fishing I’m ready for the river out 350 hours on the new boat already this season trolling 🤦🏻♂️
Awesome video!! When do you like to use a cut plug vs silvertron?
When the water temp hits 60*and lower
TC, about how many feet of line are you letting out when trolling? 40 to 50 feet?
