- What we have learnt so far?
Life on the road can be exhausting…
It comes with so many uncertainties that we have to adapt to.
My best advice? Travel slowly where you can and when you can’t.
Eventually, slow is fast for my 33 years old Land Cruiser :)
Be prepared for your “mobile home” to break down…
It’s the moment of truth : my first shakedown trip in the Land Cruiser. And it didn’t start very well, because I experience... car breakdown.
Thankful for the random act of kindness of the wonderful strangers from Sungai Lembing.
Last but not least, Sungai Lembing did surprise us :)

I think you should try and see if you can integrate a mosquito net into your tent. I used to go jungle trekking a lot and one of the most useful equipment I had was a one man mosquito net which was made in New Zealand. Strong and sturdy, it could be crushed into a small ball to keep in your pocket. Totally effective in keeping the mozzies away and having a good night's sleep.

You both have had a wonderful time with your trusty Land Cruiser and great people who had kindly i teracted well with you! That smile in your posing and video,says it ALL! Enjoy every moment,be Curious! That is the Door to knowing,seeing and understanding, more about what is around us,each day. The mosquitoes did cause you both some loss of blood! So, lesson to be learnt while camping.. ensure ALL windows,flaps,etc are checked 100% before dozing off. Looking forward to your next video!best rgds from Kampar.

Think about coming to Australia for a trip. The Mecca for 4 wheel driving. Check videos out K'gari or it used to be called Fraser Island, canning stock route, 4xoverland does a great video. Gribb River Road, beautiful water falls. Cape York, there two roads. The development road which you can go to the main water falls. Or really rough and every off road traveller wants to do. The Telegraph track. It will knock you how rough it is. Check out Keely and philly. They did a old van and then hired a troops to go to the centre of Australia. Check out Flinders Rangers and Uluru with kings canyon, Olga's and West and East McDonald rangers. The big red bash, not on next year. 2026 ok. Great barrier reef, ingoloo reef, karajini. Check out going overland Morton Island video. And tyler Thompson videos.

Could have drove your own 4x4 into the river bank at rainbow waterfall. The waterfall offers different experience and feeling in the morning and afternoon. Nevertheless the nice good experience to be there! Enjoying…. 😊
Your light in your roof top tent. Put some 3 m red tape on it. Buy candles, melt, put in patrolum jelly, teaspoon and some star anise. Reput the wick back in. Get a hook and a glass jar. Hang it from the roof. Get a spray bottle, spray outside. Old beer, Epsom salts and mouth wash in water. It's your breath. Use a fan. They say the mosquito eat good blood. People they do not eat smell to them like rotten cheese. The blue vain cheese.
when go sandy area, try reduce the tire pressure to increase the surface of contact
Have a look at Tyler Thompson, dad build. Run flat inner tube. I run the maxtrax inderflate. Look at getting some maxtrax. Roony Dahl did a video on them, check out his winching safety video and his uhf radio videos. Also, have a look at Aussie Arvos. The lighting video and the Atoto head unit. Get for navigation. I bought a second-hand warn winch. It's a bit rough on the outside but brand new inside. Talk on your video,s. Even if it is your own language. English would be great too. The best at off-road videos is 4xoverland. Sound is more important than video image.
Check out Ronny Dahl and Robert Pepper sand driving video. The front of your tyre creates a bow wave of sand. The tyre always trying to climb it. That why you get stuck. Lower your tyre pressure. Less bow wave, you are also making the tyres longer. Just have three pressures, max for on road. Half way, for gravel and sand roads and then nearly flat. Get some maxtrax. 4 if you can. You can park your vehicle on them and drive off in the morning.
