Hi Sandy, once again thanks for your video, it’s like doing our lovely ride all over again. You do a wonderful job of recording adventures, they are a great credit to you and a wonderful record of current times. Trikes, bikes it’s just fun to be out enjoying a riding adventure and I have the extra fun of the Wiltshire twins banter, that keeps me smiling. As they would say in my old country “Diolch yn fawr.”. 👍👍😀
That was a great ride Charles, I think we all enjoyed this one very much. Next time the Coffee and cake is on Dave. Thanks for writing the poem too, I thought it added a good touch to the video. Diolch yn fawr :)
Another good one Sandy. A chap I know uses his Brompton for cycle touring and camping and was telling me about the mod he has made. In order to cope with camping loads and steep hills he has also added an extra smaller front chain ring. No front derailleur, but when the going gets steep he just swaps the chain to the smaller ring and the rear derailleur takes up the slack. This has been successful for years. Best wishes, Noel
Thats a great Idea Noel, it's something I may do to my Brompton in time. The Brompton is a lovely machine and no doubt there are more adventures to come featuring the Brommie, but I must say my favourite of all my bikes is the trike :)
Whenever you get on that bike Sandy, things seem to become almost magical with the beautiful surroundings on the routes through the English Countryside and the English Villages that pepper the horizons. And the friends that you are usually surrounded by makes the journeys even more interesting and enjoyable. Thank you, and Charles, and Dave for making my day and my weekend a very pleasant one. I am always looking forward to seeing you on the next one my friend. Have a great time!
Thank you for showing us Dave’s Brompton. As a Brompton owner I love to see them out and about. I had been wondering whether you had sold yours but - hurray! You’ve even mentioned another future adventure with it 🤗 I have to say the trikes do look like a lot of fun and I hope I will one day get a chance to try one. I’m in Northamptonshire and I do see two or three about on the country lanes. Thanks again for taking us along - you have a real gift for making us, the viewers, feel like we’re on our bikes riding along with you. Gorgeous country lanes and villages and Pam Ayers’ childhood village, Stanford in The Vale. Best wishes to you, Dave, Charles and Mandy of course 👍🏻
What lovely villages Sandy, even in the rain. Reminds me of many years ago investigating the villages of The Cotswolds on my Dawes Galaxy. The tourist hot-spots were crowded and yet villages nearby were deserted and a real treat to explore (Bourton on the Water (crowded).....Turkdean, Salperton, Guiting Power, Naunton, The Barringtons (delightful)). My old Brompton was designated as the 'L5' as it didn't have the rack and dynamo lighting and going back to Dave's gearlever, mine has two Sturmey Archer levers, one having three positions and the other two, so although it is a five speed hub, two of the six ratio's are the same. How sad that we have lost all those true British bike companies and how fascinating and steeped in history the bicycle is (The Starley's, Pederson' Kirkpatrick MacMillan, Alex Moulton, I am guessing a Sturmey and an Archer and perhaps a Brookes (yes, I know some were from far flung places to Britain but it all happened here). A person on a bicycle was once the fastest road user and is one of the most energy efficient creatures on the planet.
I always find the hot spots a disappointment for that very reason Peter, as you say the villages close by are just as pretty and very quiet :) Very interesting to hear your thoughts on the past and very true too. A bicycle sure is very efficient, atleast 5 or 6 times that of walking I would guess. Best invention ever
Nice one Sandy, I love the way you involve your mates in the video's, will Dave have his own channel next 🤔🤣. Look at Dicky Mint, once they get hooked there is no stopping them. I'm afraid I'm with Dave when it comes to the Brompton, they are great wee bikes. ATB Big Dave Scotland.
What a charming video Sandy, well done to the three of you! Three middle-aged gentlemen having fun in the glorious English countryside is almost a rerun of The Last of the Summer Wine but you have the edge with the poet in your midst 🥰 Regards Keith
Thanks, you guys for taking me with you! Can only ride trikes now (70yo senior with no balance), but I still do SO love Brompton! I am in SW Ohio here. Secret-SHHH: Ohio has largest mileage of bicycle trails in America. SW Ohio has a concentration of hugely beautiful trails!!! Ride my Hase Lepus' now! Oh, Yeah! Love watching your videos, Wiltshire Man!
Lovely ride out on the trikes and great video Sandy, great upgrade on Daves Brommy he now climbs those hills without getting off mostly. Nice to see Charles out aswell passing through those lovely villages, it would great to see you all out including Paul perhaps on a overnighter ? Thanks for sharing 👏 👋
I wondered if you had come across some of the beautiful illustrations of Frank Patterson, the Victorian cycling artist....well worth a look Sandy. A very different Britain.
Love the video again with a lot of history beautiful villages wonderful country side. Love the Brompton my best wishes to you all from the Philippines ❤️💪👍😉😀😁🏁🏍️🛺🐑🇵🇭🏴⭐
Thanks for taking us with you Mr. Wiltshire. I visited Goosey after you (and Dave?) rode through there a couple of years back. You’re right about that village green - it has an unusual “feel” to it, as if it has been used in some way in past years and now no houses encroach. The church is said to be an interesting one, too.
Looks like another lovely ride out! Some handy little upgrades on his Brompton, just goes to show it can be personalised to suit if you know how. Kept looking at yhat glag Charles has...i think yhat would go nicely on my Burley flatbed trailer!
Great vlog as allways sandy yes we all want to see paul messner out on this Brompton. His vloging but his gone a quiet on his cycling i think his better half should make him a bacon sandwich & a flask off coffee & send hin cycle camping before ir gets icey cold.
Love this one Sandy, Your calling out Paul Messner with he's Brompton... I knew it will be a 5 minute wonder with that idea.. anyway mate Enjoy you recumbent fella I just feel they are too restricted.... 👌🏻😉
Great video, excellent job Dave!! Looks like an amazing ride out. Would love to see Dave start a UA-cam channel (not sure he would be too keen on the idea). All the best, Travis.
Very familiar territory for us again - it's weird how we love watching you cycle round the roads we are always cycling round! Great poem Charles! Has he written a book of them....? I really appreciated the info on Dave's Brompton upgrades. I added Ezy wheels to mine, makes pushing it when folded easier. Also some bar ends.
Nice to see you sandy nice on your trike this time looks abit wet wet and wet long you enjoying your self that's the main thing Dave as well he keep you all right stay safe and stay healthy one life enjoy blessed be
Nice that you went Ashbury grew up there used to go cart down that hill and could go alway down to kingston Winslow at the bottom they have a mill and water wheel in that village
There's actually 2 Mills in Kingstone Winslow, upper and lower. The lower Mill has a new working wheel but the upper mill has lost all ups mechanicals now, the mill pond is still there and Alfred Williams writes in great depth about the Upper mill in his book " the villages of the White horse".
Please please please Sandy; tell us the story of the haunted beech tree near honeybunch corner - you teased it a while ago while, I think, taking pictures of bluebells in Ashdown Wood. Been waiting with bated breath every since.
Thank you for another lovely video. My favourite part of the area, Dragon Hill (almost seen). Was that lovely little chapel open? I'd like to visit and see inside.
I really enjoyed that video Sandy 👍 A419 shenanigans yesterday - hooooot I don't follow Charles ,has he got a YT ? Just bought some mudguards for my bike - inspired by you . Lots of love to Mandy All the best to you and yours 🍻 🍻 CHEERS 🍻 🍻
May I be so bold as to ask you where you got your front light/gps mount from? I was thinking of buying a full fat Ice Trike and their own front light mount doesn’t seem fit to take a GPS unit as well as a front light. Any help would be appreciated thank you.
Hello there Sandy, you take us through some interesting sites on your bike/trike tours, cheers. I sent you a PM through Instagram but I think you're not receiving it, ignore the others , there just bits of information I thought you may find interesting. All the best to you and your family mate.

Hahaa middle aged, yes I will go with that. Between us there is 195 years of living experience and of course "Wisdom" ? :)
Lovely video Sandy, thanks the Charles for the poem😊
A great ride out with you lads, I love the bikes, well done to you all. 🍻👍👍
Looked like a great ride out there. You certainly bombed down those hills. Interesting to see Dave’s Brompton modifications too. Thanks.

That was a gnarly old door on that chapel. Very gothic. A great ride out around this green and pleasant land.
Thanks Rob, the chapel was lovely and really quite old, it's nice that we have these old places still:)
@@WiltshireMan indeed. Let’s hope they carry on long after we’re gone.
Brilliant Sandy, cheers.
Another great video, made me laugh when you went down that hill with the big grins on your faces 😂
Thank you for sharing your adventure! Thank you for taking me along, Sandy. I really enjoyed the scenery and the old chapel. Cheers!
Thanks for watching Dan

I really enjoyed that vid Sandy. Out on a ride with some mates.... Doest get much better than that😉👍
Really enjoyed this ride, I do prefer the trike for comfort and fun over the bike it has to be said :)
The door of the Chapel, I think was Norman. Lovely .
Yes you could be right, it has a lovely arch
I wondered if you had come across some of the beautiful illustrations of Frank Patterson, the Victorian cycling artist....well worth a look Sandy. A very different Britain.

Thanks for doing these trips and recording them, Sandy. It's almost like being there. 🙂
Thanks Brian, Charles always comes up with a nice route :)
It might be raining,, but I believe those wheels are hot. Thank you. Love.
Good to see the boys out again causing mayhem on the roads of Wiltshire 😃👍😉🥰 epic riding nice brew stop too 👍👍👍👍
Nothing to beat a ride out with good mates :)
Looks like a fun day with friends Sandy. Young or old, two wheels is a fun time. Or three wheels.
Three wheels is better unless it has an engine:)
Looks like another lovely ride out! Some handy little upgrades on his Brompton, just goes to show it can be personalised to suit if you know how. Kept looking at yhat glag Charles has...i think yhat would go nicely on my Burley flatbed trailer!
Dave loves his Brompton Steve, he even rebuilt the back wheel himself, I guess he also likes to save a few quid :)

I love the trike Graham, it won't replace the bikes but I do prefer it over the two wheelers :)
@@WiltshireMan super comfy position. I used to worry about cars when I had mine,
Yeah, not sure about that St George's Chapel door - stylised Norman, but not, I think.
Good fun down hills, those trikes!

I put my hand out at the end to reach for a apple pie 😅
Good video ✅
Hahaa, yes that was kind of Dave, he must have thought long and hard about sharing those apple pie's as he is partial to them:)
Great video bruv. Really enjoyed this one. Dave is a good chap. 😅😅
Dave is a Goodun :)
Can you point out which ones are Clegg & Foggy please?,..I can't tell.
Smashing!
I have never seen such a long seat post.
Yes they are long and also have some flex which is a design feature as it adds to comfort by absorbing some of the shocks
I've never tried one of these trikes, looks interesting, if you have back problems is it good???
I would say a trike would be helpful to someone with back problems
Have you seen the new 20" Bromptons? The look good, quite pricey though.
Yes the G line. Look very nice
May I be so bold as to ask you where you got your front light/gps mount from? I was thinking of buying a full fat Ice Trike and their own front light mount doesn’t seem fit to take a GPS unit as well as a front light. Any help would be appreciated thank you.
