This is an amazing video. It has been my dream almost all of my life to hold an eagle on my arm and to work with them. I am a bird lover and have been as long as I can remember. I’m 61 now but had I watched this video 25 years ago I would do all the things Martin did as stated in this video to be able to do what Martin does today. He is so blessed to have this as his career...so very blessed. These birds of prey are absolutely amazing and to me...the most fascinating creatures on this planet!

We have Golden Eagles here in Scotland but I have only once ever seen one eagle, and that was an experience. He or She was sitting on a fence post right next to my car. It was amazing. I had a Double Yellowhead Parrott buddy Milo for 35 years. Milo felt the same way about me. If I misbehaved I got a nip. Then a nice hug. In 2010 Milo went to sleep and crossed over. I still miss his Hello each morning. I raised cockatiels and now have a cockatiel buddy but there is nothing comparable to having a large bird as a friend.

Of course Eagles have always been my favorite bird. :-) And yes Eagle really is my name. They are such amazing animals. I love watching them take care of their young. How they tuck their claws in so not to break the eggs or hurt the babies. And will sit through any kind of weather. So yes I am very glad to share their name.
If maybe in another life my parrot would be a hawk or falcon. You are the first the last the everything about helping every criiter we see you were there between all the pain and glory healers of the babies.
Wonderful information. I always wondered how falconers and their birds learned how to work together. I was a wildlife rescuer for many years and dreamed of working with hawks and eagles. I used to volunteer with a nature center near my parents' house when I was growing up. I'm glad you're doing what you're doing, and I'm glad you post the videos that you do. Seeing your releases lets me feel the part of wildlife rescue I found the most rewarding - seeing them get to go back to the wild - where they belong.
