So glad to see she's progressing exactly as you hoped. Very nice you're already getting the tail wiggle greeting from her. Look to watching her training from the beginning & see her develop her adult feathers!
This is so interesting and very educational . Beautiful patterns different side and the back of her! Just beautiful markings. I hope he will continually keep filming and share his training and knowledge. His wife is helpful and very unselfish in all the time it takes and filming these wonderful different birds. Thank you both. Really enjoy the sharing information. I bought your book. Hope to support you a little more later
This man is my hero. I feel honored to have him share his love to me. I am very happy he shares his hopes and fear with us. Thank you making tears of joy so liberating
Just read up on Harris Hawks - they seem rather smart as I read they often hunt cooperatively. Have you thought about setting up a Patreon for your channel to help support the foundation?
Hi again! Just amazing Martin. A very special passion and gift you have. A whisperer for sure! You take excellent vids Susan and love your standard poodle! I bred trained and showed toys and miniatures and adore them! I greatly admire you both for the team you make and what you do!! Thx again...
@@GowildlifeOrg Absolutely! No thanks necessary. 3 in 3 days now and I'll see you whenever I can catch a vid. Will definitely help during my recovery. Looking forward to all that you share...
@@GowildlifeOrg I am very interested in Falconery. I have never had a pet bird, when I was a teenager I had a fish back in the late 80's and of course it was a red bellied Piranha and I got great joy out of putting 12 guppies into the tank and how they would all swim around until my Piranha ate one of them and then they all realized that they where on the menu and they would all swim in a panic! I'm in my 40's now and I plan on getting my own property out in the country and when I do and I have the resources I'll look into starting with the apprenticeship in Falconery
Belle. The perfect name for this beauty! I love the way she checks out the hood like "Ah OK, I see what it is, I get it!" :D LOL @ Cody bringing his toy cause he's thinking, "Right, it's my turn now..play with me, now..." :P Fantastic and informative video. Thank-You! :D xxx
Hi Mallek, thanks for your interest. It really depends on the circumstances and the particular bird. A wild raptor, no petting for sure. A falconry bird, as part of training, can be okay...but again it depends on the particular bird and the status of the relationship between bird and falconer.
And Cody had to come and say "hi," too. Belle can't get all the attention. 😃. (I think the word you were looking for instead of friendship might have been, report?). Now...off to do more manuscript editing... Thanks for such a wonderful video and the badly needed break from work. 😀👋💕
Southwest Wildlife Foundation of Utah wow really?? 😮 That’s what I call dedication. I’m thinking of getting a Harris hawk but I don’t think I can due to going on vacation every year 😢
It’s funny because when I was like 3 my grandparents were driving around looking for hawks and I couldn’t care less and I just thought wow a bird Big deal 7 years later I’m studying to be a falconer and can name all birds of prey by heart 🦅🦅🦅🦉🦉🦉
You can watch the first video about the arrival of our Harris Hawk Wildlife Ambassador, Belle, here: ua-cam.com/video/PODc2oN1mMY/v-deo.html
I always appreciate you Martin.... You're the gorgeous nature and falconiformes lover person... Congratulations...

We're glad you are enjoying our videos!
Martin once again the training video, has calmed my nerves cause I get feelings, similar to what you say these birds of pray feel.
Does require being in the moment for sure...

Glad you found us!
What a beautiful hawk....how is her training going? This video is over one month old now. Please update us.
We've got a new video with Belle ready to post this Friday! Thanks for your interest!
Love the tail wiggle, love it, I thought it was when they do a poop, lol
Belle is pretty expressive!

Thanks for watching! Cody is all about his toys!
Belle is a beauty! What does she sound like? I'm always wondering what hawks & eagles sound like.. Their calls, cries, and such..😊
We're adding a new video about Belle this Friday, so you can hear from her directly!
I keep hearing that raptors don't like to be petted, but I see Falconers pet them so much.
Hi Mallek, thanks for your interest. It really depends on the circumstances and the particular bird. A wild raptor, no petting for sure. A falconry bird, as part of training, can be okay...but again it depends on the particular bird and the status of the relationship between bird and falconer.

@@GowildlifeOrg Try that again, without auto correct... rapport...oops! Hate this phone thinking it knows more than I...😬
Loved the video.
What do you do with your birds when you go on vacation?
Hi Andy, thanks for your interest. Martin has not gone on a vacation since his honeymoon.
Southwest Wildlife Foundation of Utah wow really?? 😮 That’s what I call dedication.
I’m thinking of getting a Harris hawk but I don’t think I can due to going on vacation every year 😢
I look dor any new videos so intriguing
Beautiful Bell. And Cody is not ugly LOL but I can see Cody knows your joking.💗
Don't worry, we regularly remind jealous Martin that Susan has enough love for he and Cody!
Did you run 5 miles before you started the video? I love how it opens with heavy breathing, lol.
Martin is always running! And cycling!
Do the falcons like scratchies the way some owls do, or do they just tolerate it?
Each bird is different, they all have their own character.
It’s funny because when I was like 3 my grandparents were driving around looking for hawks and I couldn’t care less and I just thought wow a bird Big deal 7 years later I’m studying to be a falconer and can name all birds of prey by heart 🦅🦅🦅🦉🦉🦉
Things change!
Ha ha true
