Cirno - Z-23 got punished more by smoke nerf than almost any other ship. 3.4 km smoke Concealment with only 4.4km hydro gives a narrow band of 1km between hydroing enemy DD and then seeing you. And the 4.4km doesn’t change if you change back to 128mm guns. Need Flamu rant!

Flamu, why do you recommend Yamamoto rather on the Yamato than on the Akizuki? I prefer it on Akizuki, since I tend to get First blood quite often with it, so the consumable buff is very valuable with so many consumables. In the Yamato the additional heal is very situational, whereas on the Akizuki I run out of consumables quite often. In addition i find the kraken buff equally strong on both ships.
Yamato rarely gets First blood so that's not Yamamoto perk that you want, you want the Kraken perk which if you somehow got it, you gonna have a supreme advantage over the remaining enemy team. Though granted if you got Kraken in Yamato the game mostly over but well anything goes

Flamu, I know you recommend this build now but I still rock your old build. The 3 x 4 build with rpf, ifhe and ce. The only real difference is you get a tad more AA and better reload. I figure that 3seconds is pretty damn good for a reload and just leave it at that. Hands down best educational vids out there for warships. I send all our recruits to your channel. Love the old Tribes Ascend stuff too.
There's an Omni player who played a radar Minotaur game and did rather well. It's on the Omni channel. Problem is if you get a map with little cover you're screwed.
@@solanine6452 Because the calculation is not multiplying by 1.1, it's dividing by 0.9. A trivial proof is that if you had -100% reload somehow you have infinite DPM, not +100% DPM. In this case, 1 divided by 0.9 is 1.11 recurring, or basically +11%.

Wacky Tabacy that's something comes with experience.. Your kind of playing chess and try predict the movement off all ships spotted in minimap.. Most pvp games are mind games you gotta be unpredictable and know what enemy does.. Its why this game has a high replay value,, there are so many different outcomes and scenarios and that's just for 1 ship

Is Adrenaline Rush really that viable on a ship that already has 3 sec reload? You already have BFT! And why no Superintendent for those extres smokes and consumables since its so easy to take damage when its so slow and bad maneuverability?
You take AR for 2 reasons. 1) Akizuki is a DPM ship. You ideally want to use your guns whenever possible (within the realm of reason. Don't be stupid). You job is to be a big damage dealer for your team. Hosing down BB's with AP/HE, etc. is a big part of your playstyle. A progressively larger boost to your reload is 100% worth it. 2) AR also affects the base reload of your torps - the longer a game, the better, as you get more reloads. In the end, it's better to have a build that progressively gets stronger, than it is to have a build that depends on a quick match in order for your build to pay off.
I get what you are saying and i usually go for Flamuś builds on all my captain and i do understand how good AR is as a skill, normally, but im not totally convinced about it on this ship tho. I feel its a to small of a buff on a 3 sec reload. I got the Yamamoto Kraken-buff on my Akizuki the other day so i got 1.7 sec reload and even tho its almost half the normal reload and so much better the the buff you can ever get with AR it was hardly noticeable since the base reload is so strong. I asked Flamu on Twitchstream if the AFT wouldnt be viable on this since it has so great DPM on the guns and getting 2k longer range would make a huge differens in damage output, he said that it wouldnt be worth it for some reason?! Even the pretty good AA would benefit from the AFT?
AFT has another effect though. Your guns already take quite a while to reach their target at max range without AFT. With AFT, your actual ability to deal damage to targets at range is greatly reduced, due to the long time it takes your shells to reach their target. Your AP, a primary source of damage, will also lose quite a bit of penetration power at these ranges, reducing you to an HE spammer. Lastly, while it increases your firing range, it also increases your detection range after firing. Considering that you still want to be able to stealth up relatively quickly, you don't want to be forced to kite away further than you absolutely need. And, if I'm going to be honest, the Akizuki AA was never that strong. The base AA isn't bad, but it's not going to deter same or higher tier planes from trying to strike you. It's not like it has DF like a US DD, that allows you to bloom the drop pattern of dive bombers or torp bombers. The AA is simply not worth the 4 points in random battles, especially since CV's are becoming less and less of a thing. For competitive games, maybe, though I suspect that the USS Kidd will be replacing the Akizuki in the role of the T8 AA DD.

No worries. Glad I could break it down for you. Once you get the basics with a 10 or 14 point captain (depending on whether you need IFHE), things like point efficiency really start to matter. It's the exact same reason you don't take IFHE on the Khaba. Yes, you can increase the penetration power on those guns, but 1) you lose fire damage, and 2) you have to give up 4 points worth of other captain skills. If the captain cap was higher, at something like 23 points, you might consider it. But as it stands? No way. Hope you have a good time with the Akizuki.
The JP Wiki(which is like a much better WoWS dictionary than the official wiki) actually rated the Akizuki acceleration and top speed equally with the Iowa, with the turning feel comparable to high tier heavy cruisers. These tells you how bad the Akizuki is in the maneuverability catagory. And, go for POI...um, I mean Shiratsuyu commentary.

I am just trying to find any excuse not to use CE because I'd like to have more variety, in other words if a perk is mandatory to use, then it should either not be there or be added as default (as WG did with the detection icon) so... I try any excuse to bring a bit of variety on the builds. As for example Flamu himself said about the Mogami 155 in which he is not using now full stealth but the rudder module... For example, I do not use full stealth on the Henri IV, the Hindenburg, (using the rudder module) obviously Khaba, and even Yamato and GK... I know very well that usually CE is a must, but I do try (for randoms) to use other stuff, for example on my future Grozovoi I will try not to use CE. Again, I do know that Grozo without CE cannot contest caps, but If I want to play a pure cap contester, I'd take the Z-52 (with CE)...

I personally hate IFHE as the armor values in this game were balanced for HE penetration and a perk that negates this balancing does not make much sense, as other ships do not get perks that offer a huge payoff for little downside. Maybe a tier 4 perk that either changes overmatch mechanics for AP for the battleships and a big reduction in torpedo detection for DDs? I mean anything as drastic a change as IFHE would ruin balance. In June 2016, they changed HE penetration values because 155s were too effective. IFHE was one of the myriad of reasons I stopped playing.

It's a shame that the Akizuki has become such a garbage DD these days. Slow, fat, fragile, out detected by everything, can't escape radar and carriers have their way with you because you can't run away. The Akizuki is just a waste of time now. The health pool has been nerfed and the destructibility has been nerfed.
I've noticed over the course of your videos, you rarely (if ever) praise opposing players for smart play. You refer to it instead as being 'unfortunate', which implies you wanted them to be drooling idiots.
If you'd watch his stream he compliments players from enemy teams when the make good calls/plays. It rarely happens because they rarely make good plays. Go figure.

Unless this is a video from the future, AA guns do not yet increase the detection range. They will in 0.6.13 but only for air spotting ...
