Cut a garden hose 3 foot long and put it up to your ear hole. Start your motor and put the other end of the hose on each pulley and you will find it without even taking the belt off. Me and my 7 year old did it and he was the listener. It is so easy!

Geaux4Tigers I’m going to try this right now 👍🏻 my truck has been doing this high whining noise that’s getting annoying coming from the bearings.

im really surprised ford makes replicable bearings in those. thats super simple. I have one bad I think i'll pull them all and just replace the bearings. great video

my 16 5.0 is having this issue and sounds just like that. Idler pulley is wobbling so I'm gonna replace mine and hopefully that fixes it!

Great video sir. My 2011 5.0 Coyote belt must be changed and has a different, more complex scheme. My question is re: your install of the pulley wheels, 1) are the wheels different in type and name? 2) After knowing what to designate them, where can one buy the pulley wheels? Tks in advance!

Are you able to slightly hear it at cold and hot idle? Curious if i’m experiencing the same thing. Thank you

Do you mind sharing the ball bearing part number, I caught the first one but not the other one?

Are the two top drivers side and passenger side idler pulleys the same size? Someone changed out the idlers on my 2010 f150 before I bought it, but the drivers side doesn't keep much tension on the belt, any help is appreciated.

So you loosened the belt ... removed old and replaced pulley... 2 times!
In mentioning that you could replace bearings... you said you didn’t do it because you were lazy. Lazy? Not if you just did the same procedure twice.
I don’t think so. Not replacing the bearings was a confidence issue. I.e. where to get the bearings.. properly installing them... wondering if it was going to work after. That’s not lazy. That’s risk assessment. And probably also weighing out that 50-60 bucks over 10-15 justified the hassle. No?
