Whitney has always had the greatest respect towards people she sang with and also artists she didn't sing with. Whitney never tried to ousting people and nobody did in this trio either. They're friends and enjoyed singing together.
Whitney Houston's title as "the Voice" isn't mere hype; it's a well-earned accolade. Her impact transcends generations, and since the early '80s, I've closely observed her musical journey. Whitney's versatility is evident as she delved into opera and jazz, showcasing her extraordinary talent. Notably, "The Preacher's Wife" stands as a testament to her gospel prowess, having sold over 6 million copies globally-an unparalleled achievement making it the ultimate Gospel album. Take a moment to let that sink in; Whitney's influence on this genre is truly unparalleled. While acknowledging other great artists like Cece, Whitney remains exceptional-the gold standard of her era. Delve into interviews with industry legends like David Foster, Dionne Warwick, Stephanie Mills, Stevie Wonder, Aretha Franklin, Babyface, Mariah Carey, and Chaka Khan, and you'll find unanimous acclaim for Whitney's unmatched musical prowess. In the symphony of legendary voices, Whitney Houston stands as a harmonious force, leaving an indelible mark on the music industry.
@@diorrboyyyy how many hopeless, broken, ruined lives were transformed because of Whitney's singing ?? you forgot that life on earth is just short and temporary. after that, you will face eternity and nothing of this earthly realm will pass into eternity
CeCe's voice is heavier and Whitney's voice is lighter. Whitney is naturally going to have more ease. A lot of people truly don't know how high Whitney's voice set. She had a voice that set really high in the beginning. A true Soprano and she knew it too. Whitney's voice naturally darkened a few years after. This is my favorite performance of the song.
Cece is amazing!! I always thought her and Whitney sounded a lot alike. Cece wasn’t trying to keep up it comes naturally to her. I saw her last year and at almost 60 her voice is as powerful as it’s always been. Listen to “Count on Me” to hear how amazing her and Whitney sound together!!
i can’t stop thinking about that comment when they said auntie cece was bout to shake her wig off trying to to keep up with whit … even though i know cece wasn’t that’s just her style of singing it was so funny to me 💙
Without knowing anyone involved or anyone who was there.I feel like Whitney pushed Bebe and Cece to be even better then they had been before by her singing abilities. Whitney was taller then Cece so she had larger lungs and could sing with more air capacity. But Cece could stay right with Whitney.Cece has said humbly that Whitney could sing Bebe and Cece's songs better then they could.I think she was being modest. There is one video where all three of them are singing together and Bebe takes it to another level. I think Bebe and Cece both took it to another level not out of jealousy or complications but because they were singing with someone at the time who was great. I wish all three could sing together today. At Whitney's funeral Cece gave her all like in this video.People would miss Whitney but Cece showed that God has given others the gift to sing greatly.( My words not Cece's words) Cece repeatedly called Whitney her sister and recorded with her.I believe there was no jealousy.Or competition between the three.
We know no one is sitting with Whitney and cece is good but yiu can tell she's working hard as hell whit did it with ease! Whose voice soars Whitney wins on so many levels!
yes Whitney did have a lighter voice. Cece was more robust but Whitney could still match her power for power . Infact the point is Cece had to struggle a bit to get up to the same notes that where effortless for Whitney because they had different kind of voices. A true way to catch this is watch Whitney sing the Cece classic Dont cry for me and see the power Whitney could generate on that song and Watch the Cece original, equally great, but I would say Whitney even with a smaller instrument had the vocal development of a boss. I would argue Whitneys version is more powerful than Cece's original.
If you peep this video with just Bebe and Cece singing the song you'll see there was no competition and each singer was just doing their own signature thing, ALL GREAT in their own respective ways. They're all genius. :) ua-cam.com/video/wvkhNUKlrtA/v-deo.html
nobody trying to outshine anyone. First they're all friends and they are most supportive of each other. It's like when they tried to say Luther was putting Whitney in her place when they sang That's what Friends are for. Not at all, greatness just brings out greatness with the ultimate respect. Wish we had that today.
stop.. Whitney never was coming for Cece.. They where Great Friends and whitney loved her some CeCe.. There voices matched well. Whitney just sang the song and so did Cece. Stop all the crap
@@Nippyfit86 I don't think crack is supposed to be the lyrics. That's why I wrote that. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 I think it was a mistake. She meant to say Christ but she said crack. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Yes ce ce do have a great voice, and they can go for sister for real.
Whitney was beyond gifted..... nobody can be compared to that level of technical vocal strength
#OneOfAKind
Ce Ce’s part caused for her to go there! lol that’s one of my favorite! Ce Ce killed it!
You should look at the performance when they sang at Arsenio Hall show that’s what people was referring!
The Both of The Ladies are Great in There Gift From God.

i love cece, but whitney was clearly better vocally....
Whitney and CC have beautiful strong voices in this particular song I think they were equal with their abilities
Agreed
I can’t find the original video of this particular performance

Not She always s8ngs like that. If Whitney was here still She would tell you.. Cece is my Girl get out😂
Cece sing too loud and flat
So true!

The arsenic hall show was better.
So are we gonna ignore that Whitney didn't say the kind of friend that Christ can be?
That’s because that’s not the lyrics. The lyrics are “kind of friend that crack can be”

both great vocalist, however Nippy's voice is cleaner and has more range than Cece's
You gotta get to the point more quickly. You took close to two minutes to start the main point of the video 🫤 I checked out
