He should have known that 3 wheeler wasn't that safe , it looked really cheap, and then he installed that heavy solar panel on top.... it was an accident waiting to happen. But we live and we learn!! I kinda feel bad for Kara, if she wanted to be up in Isaan she would have picked it to begin with. Wish them well though. Hope everything works out... Everyone else loves PKK!!!!

Watching Prachuap in your videos and Nakhon Phanom in Chuck's, I would pick Prachuap to live in. Much quieter and your right on the ocean as opposed to a river.

For the money...that DT car is dangerous I think. For $5000 USD ... that is a LOT of taxi rides to the store! Save the money, and use taxi or tuk-tuk. I like your little town there.... I could get on there just fine I think...Ha! Always great to see you and Gift in your videos. Gift seems quite healed up already, which is wonderful to see. You can drive anything in Thailand UTV, ATV. Until you get an accident OR a police district check.
This thing at best are farm / private land vehicles.
But by all mean please join the 40% of the unlicensed population driving unregistered and uninsured motorcycle or vehicle.

A great city car. Good gas Mileage and parking. I don't know what happens if your in a crash. There were more of them in California. I've seen only a few in Texas. They are called smart cars in the states.

I think that little EV car is an absolute death trap.
Nah. In town, speeds are low. Much safer than a motorbike, and you stay dry in rain. Funny no one calls bicycles and motorcycles "death traps"!

@davidlaforest1624 - EV's are as safe as any other vehicle and depend on safe driving skills. You are just as likely to have an accident walking down the street looking at your phone as you are in one of these carts. They are perfect for the traffic and road conditions in PKK.

I wouldn’t let Cara loose in that yellow EV either. Traffic & driving behaviour up in Isan are much worse than down here. Its much more dangerous there.

That electric 4 wheels car would be perfect for Kara, to give her some freedom to drive herself to the stores or the markets in her new home town. I know that she would appreciates the A/C in that vehicle. It's sad to see Kara leaving PKK, but I think it is what's best at this time. She will adapt and adjust to her new surroundings and hopefully continue to keep improving her health. I wish her all the best...
Sadly she did not adapt well to this area, could not find her groove or made any friends ….not sure she is going to make friends or adjust to the new place…it’s her personality , she stays to herself , does not want to try to learn the culture …..

@@irenekegel5988. You might be right but I see the situation with Kara from a different perspective. I can relate to Kara (same age and single) and can understand why she could not find her groove in Prachuap. Although she was surrounded by good friends, they all had their spouses or significant others. Some men had their younger Thai ladies and the older English speaking women had their husbands. Yes, Kara was welcome to socialize with them but she probably felt like the “third wheel”. It would have been different had she had a spouse, partner, or even a girlfriend close to her age to accompany her to the events.
Kara was dealing with so many other challenges in Thailand but probably the major ones were the language and the heat and humidity. She came to Thailand from the US to be near her son but he has his own life to live. Yes, hopefully she can adapt to her new surroundings. She needs to find friends close to her age to do hobbies, activities for ex., friends to hang out with, to visit each other, to cook meals with, go shopping, etc. . . I know I would like that if I ever were to join my son in Thailand but for me an ocean view condo would be nice, ha ha 😄. It takes time to become acculturated in a foreign land and I hope that in time Kara will find her happiness either in Thailand or back home. Sorry for the long comment. Greetings from west Texas 🌞🌵🌼

I’m sorry, this is a total death trap. It’s way more dangerous than a motorcycle or scooter. In typical accidents, riders get ejected away from the cars that are usually involved. With this tiny car, you are trapped inside and will receive double the injuries from hitting the far side of the vehicle. You are forced to drive it like a car and take up the entire center of the lane, versus scooters which are usually ridden in the side of the road, away from most cars. This would give Kara a false sense of security
That makes sense
The number one concern with EVs is the potential for thermal runaway. It happens a lot and the fire can not be put out, it has to burn out. I would not park one close to my house.
