With all her fame, years of touring, massively successful albums and hits....I still feel like Tori Amos is one of the most underrated, underappreciated artists out there. She's one of our greatest living singer-songwriters, with an epic back catalog of gorgeous, uniquely magical songs going back over thirty years. Why is she not more widely celebrated? Who the hell knows...

I’m going to puke if I read one more “underrated” or “criminally underapreciated” comment on youtube.
Tori Amos is not underrated, she is an awarded musician, with several albums on top ten of billboard charts, very apreciated by music critics and has been ten times on Letterman. She has an amazing career, she gives shows in the best places, I first saw in the ninetie in the Royal Albert Hall in London.
    Those underrated comments are ignorant

Maybe I didn't explain myself in a way you can understand. Tori Amos is an amazing artist, she is awarded, has a very good track in terms of albums sales, sold out venues, good reviews in the press, etc. She is an highly respected artisti. When you say that she is underrated you are ignoring all her commercial or artistic achievements. That is an uninformed comment and, pardon my French, it´s just silly. I love you Tori, you are not underrated, in fact you are a top composer/singer

She’s so epically talented and many of the lines are so nuanced that the listener can hear them three of thirty times and still hear a new meaning or feeling. That’s definitely PART of the allure. Along with the intoxicating vocals, red hair and instrumental music which lulls you into a midsummer fairy dream!! I ‘be seen her 5 times lives All were different and all utterly transfixing and transporting in a way that not many artists can do!! ❤❤❤

dear lord i'm stoned and all i saw was ''tori had tragically passed away', and i immediately message my friend shocked saying 'TORI AMOS IS DEAD!?', and she asked how and couldn't believe it. Literally googled tori amos, and saw no articles, and her wiki still said 'Amos is..' then came back to your comment, reread it, and just said 'oh, nvm, she's fine'. I should go to sleep.

As a long time viewer of Letterman. I watched nearly every episode of his shows from the early days until he left The Late Show in 2015. It was from seeing Tori on Letterman that got me interested in her music and quickly became a huge fan. I've seen her 5 times in concert since the 1999 5 1/2 week tour with Alanis Morrissette. Thanks for posting these video's. It brings back many memories from Tori's early performances.

Since he was plugging the Under the Pink album for that song, I went out and bought that CD. Then discovered it was on Earthquakes and had to go buy that one. Then watched every single Letterman performance since then. She was a staple on his show for many years.
