@ogerponreject Yeah, I know. As a Team Shiver player since the world premier that kind of behaviour is just plain ridiculous! Why report someone because they didn't go with the team you did? I'm not saying all Frye fans are like this, I know most of them are decent people, but I bet the false reports came from some Frye fans, I heard some of them can be really toxic. I've actually experienced it myself in game, a few Frye fans do things like spawn camping and squidbagging every Splatfest it seems. I believe it's the same players every time.
I discovered this song before the splatfest but it's melody caught me off guard and brought me to tears, feeling grateful to be alive and getting to experience splatoon 3.
I like to think that the reason why they chose to diffuse this song after the first anniversary splatfest was to appease the fans, I like to think that Nintendo actually saw how toxic the fans were and how they weren't even having fun.

At this pace, Splatoon 2's & 3's servers will be shutdown in no time... and the only thing left fo' us is gonna be crying and begging Nintendo to bring back the saga (and much likely they wouldn't do it). You know, almost feels like Splatoon is the best and most successful serie of videogames ever done by Nintendo. Not even Mario's games could match them.

I just realised that Frye's vocal quotes Ryuichi Sakamoto's 'Tibetan Dance' at around 1:20. It made me so happy to hear. (I wonder how much YMO has influenced current Nintendo composers, I know for certain they were earlier on for many Japanese game composers)

Guys, I just thought of this idea for a new splatfest. What if they did one to see which of the 3 Egyptian God Cards from Yugioh is the best? We got Obelisk for Shiver, Ra for Frye and Slifer for Big Man.

I adore this song, but listening back to it, I feel like we should have 100% expected Pearl and Marina for the DLC; you can hear the melody for Color Pulse towards the end of the song. I somehow didn't notice that right away when the song was first introduced in game, but I might have just been too enamored with the nostalgic feeling that came with it, and also the feeling of relief to hear the 3 singing, after the fest theme.
