Thank you for always showing us your metal detecting. And you not only show your detecting you keep it interesting by showing more things that I never knew about. You take us to school and I learn a lot from the things you have shown .Thank you for your channel....
I don't care if you don't find anything, I watch these videos because it's like paying for a guided hike with a super knowledgeable guide for free. You know so much about such a wide range of stuff and you talk like we're right there with you, that's why we keep watching.
The funny thing is i enjoy the video of your adventures more than the gold. Just to go out looking, digging and finding new places just to check out. Like the cliff dwellings that was awesome brother. Good job :)
That little rocky creek would've been a good spot to detect. When going for gold nuggets it's always best to go slow and steady, make sure the coil is scraping the ground to get maximum depth. Youll find most gold where the rubbish is so it's best to persevere with it. LOL
I remember watching the BONANZA tv series way back, and the Cartwrights were dead set against their land being wet mined for gold/silver. Having seen shots of it in the programme, I can understand why. Seems Bonanza was way ahead of its time in conservation. Great series and actors, sadly missed. ;-(xx
That was Fun. Thinking of getting a Garrett, Ill make sure I use your link, too much fun , and the Garrett Pro Looks like a simple workhorse, just my style. Thank you for all the inspiration.life is fun!!!
I'll bet your Minelab would find some nuggets for sure. But we know you're now a Garrett superstar with sponsorship. Make that Garrett Max do it's magic. If anybody can do it you can Chig.
I just went back to the silver coin treasure vid and your voice has become quite a bit deeper over the years comparing to this new vid you are on a slight modicum of helium!
The Gold Hunting days are all but over in that and most of Alaska, my Friend..I was upthere some 23 yrs ago and we didn't find much either...Very Baren country Now..
At 8:30 seams out of an Indiana Jones movie! :) I found bigger nuggets on my grandmother sewing box! true story! :D long time ago my grandfather found a 60gram nugget in a middle of a street in Zaire, it is beautiful, a chubby (y) shaped, only one side looks a bit scraped probably from being dropped. GL! HH!
That Dredger looks like the Christine Rose! Shawn and Steve Pomrenke's Ship! That Dredger has a net worth of a Million dollars, so I think they are doing something right....
Boreal caribou (the largest) are a subspecies of reindeer ,they are both (and a couple others) classified Rangifer Tarandus . (i just had to google and share lol)
I knew Bob Renshaw X mayor of Nome who told me of 4-5 good lost gold stories. I worked for the city early 80's and was a cartoonist for the Nome Nugget newspaper/Bering Straights papers, Leo R. X mayor might remember me as well. I built log playgrounds/East end park for the city. Got to travel all over from Sledge Is.to Ophor to Kotz/Deering/old Mormon digs to ....bla bla bla there's gold in them there "hills".
lmao!! You remind me of me when I was a teenager. I'd find a nice piece of shade in my backyard on a nice day and, using my dog as a pillow, I'd take a nap in the grass.
Not sure to told you they could drift mine in the dead of winter in Alaska because you can't even SCRAPE the ground with an excavator in the dead of winter, so I'm not sure how they are drift mining back in the old days with shovels!!
Looks like a great detector but then so is my AT gold! We have been together and done so much that I could operate it blindfold. You have used both so you best person to offer your opinion on upgrading? What's the advantages of the new machine? I have invested in a big search coil and a small " sniper" coil, are these compatible with the new Max? Thanks for taking the time and effort to make such an entertaining and informative video.
I grew up in California and I was an experienced gold hunter (I don't do it now because I live in Michigan) if you are ever truly serious about finding gold that is the EASIEST state to find gold/color in. If you ever are close which you were kind of when you went to AZ you should have went all the way to the gold country in California. I love your videos so much but I'm seeing you guys struggle just to find a flake or two in a pan and you are COMPLETELY missing the boat if you don't go to California.
So you head to all of the 'Interesting Spots' and find....Squat. Have you ever considered going to 'Spots' that are not that 'Interesting'? Maybe others never considered it either.
Thank you for always showing us your metal detecting. And you not only show your detecting you keep it interesting by showing more things that I never knew about. You take us to school and I learn a lot from the things you have shown .Thank you for your channel....
If more humans had this man's attitude to the natural world it wouldn't be the mess it is thank you for caring about the smaller things Mr chigg
That was so relaxing it made me want to take a nap. Thanks for sharing your fun.
Lesa Hanners But not where a bear might sneak up on you, right?
I don't care if you don't find anything, I watch these videos because it's like paying for a guided hike with a super knowledgeable guide for free.
You know so much about such a wide range of stuff and you talk like we're right there with you, that's why we keep watching.
Thank you for all you share as you take us on another adventure.
This man is the purest thing
That skull was definitely from some kind of dolphin or toothed whale. Cool find!

Pale Rider with Clint Eastwood.

That's what I was thinking as well
David S. Sharpe SCPLS give that man a Cigar. That's what popped into my head. what a classic film.
I watch your videos because I love your knowledge of history! Thanks.
Liked the end of this video. Cap pulled down, nestled in on dry branches in the sun by the water. Now that makes for a good nap. 😴
A good nap except for the possibility of being attacked by a grizzly !
The carcass was a beluga whale carcass
Whoever Reading This , Have a Great Summer Bro ...🙏❤

Aquachigger greatest find EVER! 15:48!
Big Bear on the beach at 1:25!
bwahaha.......took me a minute.
Mark Langenkamp Dang it!! I fell for it😂😂😂
If this keeps up I'm glad you're back in the lower 48!
I remember watching the BONANZA tv series way back, and the Cartwrights were dead set against their land being wet mined for gold/silver. That dredger is the Au Grabber, seen on Bering Sea Gold. Glad to see he's still running, he hasn't been on the show in a few seasons.
The movie pale rider with Clint Eastwood had one of those mining operations in it where they blasted the hillside away with water.
I wish I could just follow you around take awesome pictures of you in the cool places you go
thanks for the tour, I thought on the beach you needed to look for signs of black sand, no idea where i got that idea from.
So cool! I'm from Alaska and this is so fun to watch, that's got to be in the whale family and I see Russia!! :)
What a great trip and a great video
I just went back to the silver coin treasure vid and your voice has become quite a bit deeper over the years comparing to this new vid you are on a slight modicum of helium!
Is anyone else nervous about Aquachigger napping on the beach during active bear season? Geez.... Thanks for sharing....
The Gold Hunting days are all but over in that and most of Alaska, my Friend..I was upthere some 23 yrs ago and we didn't find much either...Very Baren country Now..
Love this channel
The high pressure water erosion mining is called hydraulic mining I think. Done in many places in Northern California in the 1800's.
Thanks for your videos .they are awesome
Great video! Deadwood fan as well.
"A carabao's a carabao but if you put in a herd it becomes a reindeer"
Aquachigger 2017
That Dredger looks like the Christine Rose! Shawn and Steve Pomrenke's Ship! That Dredger has a net worth of a Million dollars, so I think they are doing something right....
Frederick Conner I thought the same thing!! but I googled it and that one is a different design then the Christine Rose
Its not attached (excavator) to the ship , makes for a poor design .
in cold climates the chance of finding meteorites is large so some of these hot-rocks might be meteorites!
Just cool man. Cheers for that.
enjoy the landscape and History lessen
Fyi, they built fires on the ground, dig out what it thaws, and continue to pile it up all winter then they processed it in spring breakup
Lol, that dredger is the Christine Rose from the show "Bering Sea Gold"
Nope, it's the AU Grabber. The Christine Rose doesn't have the pilot house up high like that.
You are awesome aquachigger
the skull seems to be a beluga whale a young one since the teeth are missing
Some say hes still napping to this day.
Shame you didn't find much but at least you had a great day.. all the best..BigfootDigger
hey Chigg that looked like the Christine rose out there dredging, ( The Pomrenkes) from Bering sea gold lol. more videos from AK please thanks
Boreal caribou (the largest) are a subspecies of reindeer ,they are both (and a couple others) classified Rangifer Tarandus . (i just had to google and share lol)
I wouldn't be wondering around without a "big pistol"with me....
Thinking the same thing.
Don Remley agreed
Same here I would have to have a big 357mag or a 44mag definitely either one would be just fine for anything with two legs or four legs
Wot fun, seawater sluicing for gold sands.
Hey Chigger..cool video man. Another armchair producer here..lol Ever consider a head mount for your GoPro? Free up a hand for your videos..
Very very nice video awesome 🙂👍
I would never have guessed that lead and gold
would sound the same or have similar numbers...
Nice! Looked like gold rush tv show folks on barge -- forgot name of family
Andrew Meyer The Christine Rose?
Nope, it's the AU Grabber. The Christine Rose doesn't have the raised pilot house.
And the miners dropped allot of 1890 whiskey bottles. Ask your friend if he knows any bottle diggers you could go with for a day!!😊
Clint Eastwood ( Pale Rider 1985)
You and dallmyd are the best
Gold....GOLD!!
the movie with the hydrology mining is the pale rider with Clint Eastwood.
rockin the ACU
I can see Beau having a TV show soon
Absolutely!
ElectrikFunk. No tv. Messes you up.

Until then "Hold your breath "😂😂😂😂😂
The Skull is some species of toothed whale most likely a Beluga or Narwhal
How cold there at this time of year?? As always thanks for your company 😀😀
65 degrees on the beach is about as good as it gets..go inland a few miles and it warms up to 75..
lmao!! You remind me of me when I was a teenager. I'd find a nice piece of shade in my backyard on a nice day and, using my dog as a pillow, I'd take a nap in the grass.
I would definitely be packing, I don't want to be somethings lunch.
Not sure to told you they could drift mine in the dead of winter in Alaska because you can't even SCRAPE the ground with an excavator in the dead of winter, so I'm not sure how they are drift mining back in the old days with shovels!!
@aquachigger when will your website be back up? I need a chiggs army shirt!
Was it hot that day? Looks hot but I know how cold it gets there so I'm unsure
How cold is it up there? Did you find out what the remains of the animal was?
Love the vids keep it up
That darn vegetative matter.
hope ya find the honey hole!
The treasure there is the mammoth ivory and there carvings
Anyone knows what sunglasses Chigg wears here? Good video though. I had a great time watching it :)

that rig out there might be the pomrenkes from the gold show on tv lol Great video
Nope, the Christine Rose doesn't have the raised pilot house, like that barge had.
It's the AU Grabber.

You should ad a few goof ups at the end with your credits. How funny would that be!
Vers nice Video ,i have been waiting long for the AT MAX with us he comes only 08.08.2017😭😭😭😭
So you head to all of the 'Interesting Spots' and find....Squat.
Have you ever considered going to 'Spots' that are not that 'Interesting'?
Maybe others never considered it either.
Skull looks like a porpoise.
www.imdb.com/title/tt0089767/ Here is your movie. Pale rider Clint Eastwood. Don't have to worry about me trepassing up there? Way too many bears.
Did you see any Bears while you were Alaska?
Lemme get my gun for the bears, k- now I'm gonna take a nap...
Clint Eastwood has a movie
moooaarrrr...
You could do with a pointer detector.
The for the tour
Your making me nervous not having a gun with you out there with those bears
What a coincidence just a few hours ago Nugget posted a video of his gold hunting trip to...wait for it...Nome Alaska.
