I got the hiboy ecomm14 i LOVE IT! i go about 14 miles out, 14 miles back, battery left. Ha dit for about 2 years now, going strong. I use it daily, its literally my commuting vehicle. Max 22 mph. Im 5'11", 140lbs
A little bits and pieces of what an ideal sit down electric scooter should be, here is my list: 1: a seat (I hate cheap seats like most of them); I like the phamtomgogo R1 (but it doesn't go more then 15mph, 2: a basket, 3: greater then 20 MPH, 4: handle bar/grip should have wide pads on them like some that do that you can rest the base of your palm on, 5: front and back disc brakes, 6: greater then 12" pnuematic tires for safty issues with pot holes, 7: front and rear shocks, 8: 25 mile range would be ideal at least, 9: head and rear lights, 10: More color choices to be visible at day/night or customize yourself. Maybe I'm asking too much?
The Okai Ceetle Pro EA10C has issues with the back rear tire. They offer replacement tires on a different website from their scooter shop. The rear tire however is oddly angled at the air intake valve and difficult to inflate and install properly. Mine was taken to 2 different specialty e-bike and e-scooter shops, and they both said Okai was a one and done scooter. They felt so bad for me they didnt even charge me for installing the new tires since they wouldnt inflate.
Get the Phantomgogo R1 at Costco for $300 or something $275 on sale. I got two, and use them to pull a two-child trailer for my 2 and 5-year-olds. It works perfectly good and even goes uphill with that much weight. Also, you get the benefit of Costco's return policies. Had mine warranty through Costco after a year, quick and easy, they even picked up the old one for me.
Best to do it soon because they are doing an early bird sale, also keep in mind the scooter is not built for people under 5’1 and can go up to about 30 miles
Can someone here please help me with my Hiboy ecom 14 problem? I received my scooter on dec 28, 2023. I assembled it without difficulty - seat, basket, front tire, handlebars. Same, same the charger and battery. My problem is that I can not tighten the metal ring that goes around the telescopic rod (the rod that fits inside the t-tube). This rod jiggles inside the t-tube. And because I can not tighten it, I can not steer the machine. I can not get the rod tight enough to rotate the front tire. I have called Hi-boy in Arizona (who never return my calls), Amazon, a couple of repair shops, a couple of people who have posted videos about this scooter on youtube like EASYHEIMER and all of my efforts have been pointless. There is a metal ring with a folding lock and a screw through the point where the two halves of the ring meet. This ring goes around the telescopic rod. But I can not close the folding lock unless the screw is very loose. And if I click the folding lock closed and try to turn the screw to tighten it, I can't because the metal ring won't allow this. I am ready to tear my hair out.
If you cannot tighten it, it is likely you are usuing a "regular" wrench or pliers. Try using an ALLEN wrench in the tiny hole in the middle. I made that mistake not realizing I needed an Allen wrench instead. Another issue is the "clamp" that locks down the handle bar to the stem MAYBE "backward." I have thw Gyroor CS1 not the brand that you have. Go to UA-cam & look at "assembly" videos for your "Brand & Model" Look VERY CLOSELY AT THE VIDEO where they are assembling the actual part you are having difficulty with. Compare their "finished product or pieces or parts" to YOURS. STEP BY STEP. Notice any discrepancies between yours & theirs. Also, the mfg has the actual manual posted online. Look for your Brand & Model "owner's manual" "Troubleshooting" "parts list" and COMPARE YOUR PARTS. PAY CLOSE ATTENTION TO HOW YOU ASSEMBLED EACH PIECE. I did all this and saw that mine was UPSIDE DOWN ! The clamp that holds the handlebar to the stem was upside down all along ! 🤪 Then I could not tighten it because I used the wrong wrench ! I was supposed to use the Allen Wrench provided ! So try these things & see if this fixes your problems. If not call the seller. You CAN get a refund if the instructions are too complicated. Amazon, Ebay and Walmart WILL give refunds. Temu & Shein are shady & harrass the customer. Good luck.
do they make a E-scooter that'll pull a small wagon, like the one you see people use at beaches? i have one i use to get groceries with, but thinking seriously of getting a E-scooter. will they pull my little wagon, or do they make one specific for e-scooters?
Google Gyroor CS1 e-scooter, you will be impressed! It is the only e-scooter with 2 baskets ! I can haul 2 to 4 gallons of milk, a flat of water, 2 watermelons a or 3-1/2 bags of groceries. On two occasions I hauled a folding canvas chair tied down with a bungee cord from Walmart ! Lots of people stop me asking me where I bought this e-scooter! No other e-scooter has 2 baskets.
@@kitcatmeeow571 ya i ended up getting a CS1, lolz, thing is amazing! i use it daily to run errands, for groceries etc. had to sell my car recently, so it makes life a lot easier! thanks! ☮
Pretty cool the one by scooters I like the ones with the city much better than the ones that you have to stand up it is easy to sit down on a seat and standing up 👍🏾😎 like the prices on a scooters and tell you how fast it goes
I noticed the big e-scooter companies who have their e-scooters all over the sidewalks are adding SEATED e-scooters & e-bikes. A lot of people don't feel safe standing. Standing WHILE riding is both UNNATURAL & UNSAFE. I think seated e-scooters will become the norm. Most catastropic accidents involve standing e-scooters.
Respectfully, they need to incorporate Lithium Iron Phosphate batteries into these scooters. Lithium-Ion batteries can be dangerously combustible. Thanks for your review.
Watch out for NM of Torque. That Kukirin reviewed here, only has 30NM. (Which is weak). Some ebikes have 70 - 100 NM of Torque. Like the PVY Z20 Max, (80 NM of Torque). An ebike which is Top of my list
I don't understand why these exist? Let's take an electric scooter which doesn't have great suspension or tires to begin with then strap a bicycle seat to it? unless you're Lance Armstrong you don't want a bicycle seat. I recommend an electric bike like the Super73 or the dozens of clone bikes that have Full Suspension and a Banana Seat.
@@christopherfidler3019 my neighborhood just got flooded here in where the roads are flat. I was able to fit a 5gallon drum of water between the seat and the handle bars, and make grocery runs with ease.🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
@@jayr485 That's great and I hope everybody in your household is alright. an Electric Bike should be able to do everything a Seated Scooter can do and do it better. some of these Seated Scooters in this video have really small wheels and this time of the year (Autumn) you have to be aware of simple leaves and wet leaves which are even worst when it comes to tire traction.
I had an e bike but due to age and mobility difficulties with fractured pelvis I was no longer able to mount it so I sold it. I am now in the market for an e scooter with seat as that will be easier for me. E scooters cost less and take up less space too. They have their place particularly for the less mobile who may also need some carrying capacity.
No, an e-bike is not an option for a LOT of people. Many people who have ANY hip or back or groin (hernia) pain a SEATED E-SCOOTER is a life saving deal breaker for them. I have osteoarthritis in the hip, groin and lower back that I had symptoms in my early 40s but never told my doctor. I bought an e-BIKE at age 66 in 1/2024. Again I had no idea I had osteoarthritis.
