Battlefield V is a first-person shooter video game developed by EA DICE and published by Electronic Arts. Battlefield V is the sixteenth installment in the Battlefield series. It was released worldwide for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on November 20, 2018. Those who pre-ordered the Deluxe Edition of the game were granted early access to the game on November 15, 2018, and Origin Access Premium subscribers on PC received access to the game on November 9, 2018. The game is based on World War II and is a thematic continuation of its World War I based precursor Battlefield 1.
Battlefield V will focus extensively on party-based features and mechanics, scarcity of resources, and removing "abstractions" from game mechanics to increase realism. There will be an expanded focus on player customization through the new Company system, where players will be able to create multiple characters with various cosmetic and weapon options. Cosmetic items, and currency used to purchase others, will be earned by completing in-game objectives.
The game will feature several new multiplayer modes, including the "continuous" campaign mode "Tides of War", "Firestorm", and "Grand Operations". The Grand Operations mode is an expansion of the "Operations" mode introduced in Battlefield 1, which focuses on matches taking place across multiple stages to simulate a campaign from the war. In Grand Operations, each round will have specific objectives, and performance in each stage will influence the next. Games will culminate with a "Final Stand", with players using only a primary weapon with limited ammo, and no respawns. Similarly to Battlefield 1, the game will feature a collection of single-player "war stories" based on aspects of World War II. The game also features a cooperative mode not seen since Battlefield 3 called "Combined Arms", where four players can undertake missions together and features dynamic missions and objectives so missions cannot be played the same way each time. Combined Arms is scheduled to be released after launch. The Battle Royale mode will be built around the franchise's "core pillars of destruction, team play, and vehicles". The name "Firestorm" is derived from a literal storm of fire that engulfs players similar to the popular Battle Royale game mechanic of restricting the play area. Furthermore, this particular game mode is not being developed by EA DICE themselves, but has been outsourced to Criterion Games and features the biggest map created by the franchise to date. Love how they took a full rifle-caliber paratroop rifle and gave it the same damage model you'd expect from a sub-machinegun. Wonderful logic there.
what im mad about is the fact that i always used to try to go for the head but because of the horizontal recoil that didnt work so i had to get out of that habit and shoot center of mass now i have to get out of the habit of shooting center of mass to shooting at the head.
Ye its same as suomi with 50 bullets so FG42 is absolutely useless
totally woud had loved to see it in the Assault Arsenal with a damage model simlar to BF4 SCAR-H but at the momet the game is bullschit.
I agree Azura, this wont help noobs long term. Ive been able to win fights where the other player starts shooting first more often, probs because they don’t have the aim to keep up with a moving target over a longer fight

This update was made for tankers and planes, funnily enough that’s all I’ll be playing for now on since the TTK is ruined.
Hijinks the irony is as a tanker and pilot. It made it worse. You can’t use the old strategy’s and the rounds aren’t all to great in tank to tank battles. Which makes me go after infantry kills. And that is a bit boring.
Fg42. How I loved u. The pain I went thru for the gold skin. Looked amazing. Now it’s gone 😢.

Where it affects me is when I’m outnumbered I rely on guerrilla tactics. Example: take one out move position and hit another one and repeat. The high ttk makes you vulnerable since your enemies teammates can pick you off since you’re staying in one position too long firing a lot of shots at one target....

But I am really really enjoying the increase of the skill cap and hope that DICE will not revert it, but rather tweak the guns and stuff now.

Played this new ttk for the first time today, honestly feels better than before, but I haven’t tried the fg42, m1907, or the Breda yet so idk. The mp40 and m1a1 felt ok despite lower kill times
It feels like shit. For over a year of getting to know specific weapons and developing muscle memory, all this feels unnatural and weird. Fine we, personally me, can prob get used to it but when you shoot at a player with over 15+ rounds at 50* meters and he only has 85% damage that’s just stupid. It leaves you vulnerable to his teammates where they can finish you up since it’s taking you longer trying to take em out. I use guerrilla tactics when I’m out numbered but it doesn’t really work that much anymore because of the high ttk

Eddie Lombera yeah, anything over 8-9 bullets to kill at range is dumb, but the guns that were affected by this the worst I never use at those ranges, high or low ttk. I like this update because of the ability to escape death when your enemy can’t stay on target, and also get a chance to turn on campers, plus a higher emphasis on headshots. Overall it’s good imo, although the drop off and balance for certain weapons is really insane and should be fixed.
The most accurate honest, patch commentary for the new patch, I think many ppl ignored that if you stay alive longer with more bullets to start with is better than just erase anyone you are shooting at with not many bullets to start with

I totally agree with you. This update won't do anything for Christmas noobs. If your movement is good, you now stay alive alot more often and get into cover. Don't get killed by random bullets that hits you over the whole map. But guns like fg42 and 1907sf must definetley get changed

Been playing the game and decided to go in with an open mind. I have been playing recon but decided to give the other classes a try. First thing I noticed I was getting a lot of hit markers. When i started aiming at the head I was winning many more gun fights, literally doing a 180 and dropping the enemy. No more are the days of the M1 able to out perform a bolt action at range. The TTK changes are going to be tweaked again but so far I am liking how they are rewarding skilled players. No more spray and pray.
Random recoil? I thought BF removed that after BF1. Could have sworn I heard all the guns have constant recoil patterns that could be learned
Most weapons have to the left and right the same recoil but only different upwards recoil. So it gives you a random recoil pattern...

most of the guns are actually very good now. i think we just need a lil tweak on some weapons and we good. i currently have no prob with the ttk, well except for some MMGs and LMGs.

I do this too. Been doing it ever since we got a dedicated key/button for it.
I just try to slide away when I am not active shooting and reloading so I am staying as mobile as possible

Suomi with 981 rof is actually insane! Recoil is too easy to manage for such a high fire rate. It's an absolute beast!
20 mag but high fire rate? Well, not really effective against more enemies...
I'm hyped for the type 2a for the medic class. Extreme fire rate and many bullets in the magazine. You can test those weapons on testing range

If they rework the now called '' useless '' guns a bit and make the dmg drop off over distances not so drastic and bring some cool stuff out the next few weeks I think the most ppl will not complain anymore. I personally think they wanna get on a simular track like Battlefield 1

Also great news for aggressive tankers! Along with nerfing AP impact damage the Panzer IV now only can carry a maximum of 4! Remember to swap to HE after 4 shots when taking on a churchill..
That was a bug, they will fix it next patch

I thought it was me firing AP rounds early by accident using the Panzer IV. Then after top off at a station I looked down to see only 4. I wish they would increase the AP rounds in the Panzer to 10. Give a guy a fighting chance when you roll up to a flag to find a 2 Churchills and a Archer.

@@Ragefps Run the Valentine with the 2lb gun with increased ammo. If I'm not mistaken you have 40 shots. You can snipe the hell out of infantry. Pair it with the mine clearing wires. Not a German tank on the list can survive if you surprise them. Or you team up and engage with help from another tank. I've taken Panzer IV head on , just leave them scratching there ass on what happened. Now I'm running the 6lb no AP shells + mine clearing. Tiger tanks watch out!
Batllefield 5 has lost me and most original hardcore players with this TTK patch, I take it as a mark of total disrespect and arrogance.
Always been a hardcore bf fan and a level 130 in bfv but removed the game today , going back to war thunder there is a lot of new stuff xd
I see you represent part of the "hardcore players", as in the shotguns in the buildings, mmg's in the bushes, etc., but not dogfight enthusiasts, panzer specialists, or sniping sharpshooters cuz they ain't really affected.
@@GewalfofWivia well its not like the vehicles weren't affected by this update both planes and tanks are made more newbie friendly, pretty much all finesse is gone. Its just the TTK changes overshadow this totally...
@@GewalfofWivia the TTK changes are enough to spoil ALL of the game for me, and I used to be a very proficient tank driver and not so shabby fighter pilot. but seriously, I have played the new patch and the game is now dead to me. I hate peashooters, and I think noobs should learn to adapt to a game, not the other way round. It's just like a giant F.U. towards the more skilled or dedicated players.

2:15 you expected the revolver to finish him off because two shots from the FG-42 used to do over 50 damage. Those two shots did 32... SMH
I play on console and consider myself to be a slightly better than average player, 3.7 KD and 26% accuracy. I really don't mind the TTK change all that much because I have noticed that I am winning more engagements that start at longer ranges. Most console players that I encounter are unable to control recoil and track moving targets so I am able to close the distance and also fall back behind cover to heal when necessary because they can't land shots consistently.
I'm still slaying with it tho
M1907 is still pretty good just don’t shoot at distant targets...it’s going to be awesome when they make their adjustments-this and the FG-42 will be buffed most likely

It made the MP34 and MAB38 god tier. I got 28-0 yesterday with MP34 rapid fire spec. Incredibly noob welcome.
I feel like they did this so that new players can get use to killing in the game and how fast they can die.. for example I’ve been playing the game since it came out and I was soo used to the ttk now I gotta get use to this ttk and which guns I use in which maps also ... anyways I hope they can give us back the ttk from before

The 1907 was the best AR, capable of lasering ppl up to 100 meters away when you could master the recoil

I don’t actually mind the ttk. Some weapons need more work. It’s nice being able to react and not get punished for missing cover for .2 seconds. Smg feel a lot more fun imo you have to change playstyle for your class.

Phenixtri yes that is kinda wack. The fg didn’t need to be Murdered that hard. And not nerfing pistols the same was a bad idea imo. The trench carbine waxes now

X7RM yes your English ain’t that good, but most importantly you come up as aggressive and toxic, so that’s something for you to consider and work towards fixing in the foreseeable future, maybe then you can be taken seriously and be mature enough to make a respectable argument.
The majority of the community doesn’t enjoy these changes, you of course are entitled to your own opinions, but an overall verdict is formed by the opinions of the many not of the few. The ttk changes felt like they were clumsily made, with them being applied to general categories of weapons instead of them being applied to every weapon separately and carefully. These changes encourage more camping with sniper rifles, cause the ways that you could counter that are weaker and less effective overall now. Camping is considered the bfv meta and these changes did nothing to counter that. Furthermore it shows how DICE still doesn’t hear to what the community wants (better anti cheating measures, better team balancing amongst other things). Finally it feels like a slap to the face from DICE to all the people who not only endured the rough release, but kept playing with the game breaking bugs and remained true fans of the franchise.
Saying to others to “git good” and calling them noobs doesn’t make any point you are trying to make anymore valid btw.
I hope that if you manage to read this, you can find some reason behind it

The recoil pattern
is not random in BFV, so many people don't know it.
It is actually. It has a pattern with random pattern on top of it
@@AzuraProductions I tested a lot before, standing still and shoot the wall without recoil control, usually first few bullets to one side then dozen bullets to other side, some are 3 stages, almost every automatic weapon has its own pattern can be learned, only the mmgs are random, you can try it yourself. I'm not sure what the random pattern on top of it means, can you explain it to me thx.

I’m a new player on BFV. So I was unlocking guns before the last patch and now I’m stuck in “available next round” anyone know how to fix this? Pls help

Uninstall it and try going for a refund mate ..... that or just play a better game like hell let loose, Post Scriptum, and or squad just to name a couple.
At least those have mod support too so I wouldn't be suprised when mod communities start replicating the old refractor era BF formulas in those games ...

I hate how they killed my FG-42. Why is a rifle firing 8mm mauser doing the same fucking damage as a 9x19 round at range?
If they wanted to better limit weapons to certain ranges (which I think is a valid point) they should have done it via recoil and muzzle velocity changes. Like, if this closer range weapon has a shit ton of recoil and I still manage to get my shots on target then cool, I deserve the kill.
I've found the best way to deal with these changes.

Yea shit like this is why BF veterans like me stay the fuck away from anything made by DICE and EA as if it was the bubonic plauge.
You see back in the old days circa BF 1942, BF Vietnam, and BF2 we didn't really give a fuck about gameplay changes coming from DICE be they good, bad, or even incredibly retarded as we had mod support and dedicated 3rd party server hosting.
Basically everyone had the option to start up a community server and play BF how they wanted to play it be it in the form of balance tweaks to gameplay or full on total conversion mods.
This resulted in countless BF communities all of which catered to one type of BF player or another resulting in a situation where almost everyone was happy as opposed to this forced meta being pushed by DICE for some mystifistical fucking reason.
Personally I like the changes. It always annoyed me that SMGs, LMGs, and MMGs could out snipe bolt action rifles in the game. Now I can actually provide spotting and sniping support without being head layered from across the map by some medic or support. That being said, I think the nerfs to the M1 and FG-42 were a bit excessive.
Guns with low mag capacity and high rof have always been finicky and now they just have a thinner margin for error so you can't push your luck as hard.
The TTK change theoretically *raises* the skill ceiling by rewarding aim. And I truly relish the tears of salty prone campers who now get reacted to or spotted and get exactly what they deserve.
Man instead of doing all these annoying ttk buffs and nerfs why not just make a realistic mode aka hard core mode
The game feels awful now. Dice catering once again to snipers and all that does is encourage even more people to sit in a bush half a mile away from objectives playing selfishly. Very odd that they would go down this route, but then not a lot they do makes much sense now a days.
It's all pretty awful. Support has been pretty much nerfed out of the game entirely. No useful gadgets or primaries left. So basically what they do to support in every battlefield game.
On the plus side vehicle MGs now dominate infantry completely. The MGs on vehicles like the kubel and LCVP and halftracks melt everyone without being as risky.
