Road to 56 USSR - pushes Germany, beats whole Europe twice, throws all landings to the sea, captures India and half of China. Vanilla USSR- dies from Poland
I'm playing hoi 4 about two years, and road to 56 about 1 year and i never see USSR stand it ground. Not to mention destroy Europe. Sometimes it's loses against Finland, Lithuania, Iran and Afganistan, jeez.

Starhal v2 America and Britain did starve them of much needed resources. If Germany had had the resources they needed they may have held off on invading the Soviets. Two things motivated the invasion time: Oil and fear. Oil because Germany was running low on it and fear that the Soviets where going to invade first which they were gearing up for. The reason the Soviet military was initially on the back foot was because they were geared for a offensive war not a defensive war. All military records show this especially with the military equipment the Germans captured in the first week.
Starhal v2 I think the improved AI division template mod that is part of RT56 is what does it. The 56 AI loves to use 14-4 infantry with support AT and AA. Vanilla division templates on the other hand can sometimes be complete garbage
I love RT56. It went from being a chaotic mess of ahistorical hell, to being mediocre, to being one of the best mods for both historical and ahistorical playthroughs in the entire workshop. It's an amazing mod all-round for just about anything, especially with other people, because there's just so many options and so much detail put into it and its focus trees. I just wish Greece could go full reform Byzantium and take back the old territory with like 20% manpower again lmao.
Vanilla: Europe is good, Spain is a mess and I don't even want to know what happened in China and Siberia. Also THiCC Poland Road to 56: Federal Republic of Germany annexes half of Europe, then gets beaten by Stalin, who takes over Europe as well. Turkey restores the empire but in stealth mode. Japan is now in Korea and also THICC Sinkiang

RT56 - Romanian power, Germany uber stronk, Italy powerful, Poland cedes Danzing but gets gobbled anyways, Turkey stronk, Germany falls in 1945-1948 after the allies are able to pull some really good naval invasions and the Soviets stepped in, Soviets declare WW3 and dominates Europe by the end, though the allies are trying to mount a comeback, Fascist/autorotharian France? Vanilla - Republicans win in Spain after a brutal 4 year war, but French intervene almost immediately, Bourbon or Carlist France? (Cant tell), Germany and Italy go democratic, POLAND WHOOPS THE USSRS ASS, relative peace and stability (and a lot of bordergore) after French get defeated in 1945
France wasn't defeated in vanilla, tt seems to me that there was just a peace treaty but that France did not take territory. In any case, Siberia has been known to be German and English for more than 60 years xd
