The F-104 mod is also a true gem (custom 3D, EFM, own cockpit), of course still very much WIP, but it will become even better in the near future! 🚀😎

So my favorite mod by far (until the built in radio is finished and then we will see) is SRS.
As many have mentioned below for new pilots this will be the A-4E-C Skyhawk mod. This allows seeing DCS from both land based and carrier based ops without costing you a penny. Hands down the best mod for someone wanting to see if DCS is their cup of tea without having to break the bank to do so.

My favorite plane is also my favorite mod, the A-4E. Second would be the OV-10 Bronco, which is newer than your video, but a great asset, with the FAC script running. The mod community is really great!
Lovely video .. showcasing many items available for free on DCS. I use most of the User-provided Mods that you list on the description, but it seems to me that a disclaimer is needed, as sometimes getting a User Mod to work with the latest version of DCS can be difficult, particularly if it is an older Mod, like the VPC Airfield Equipment.
I would like to mention also, that some assets of some payware Mods can be used for free, like the Tarawa ship from Razbam, the Forrestal carrier from Heatblur, the Chinese assets from Deka and part of the animated crew members of the Supercarrier, from ED.
So, kudos for a really nice showcase video, I'm sure it will help bring more users to at least try DCS.
Absolutely. There’s so much great content you can borrow from other modules, all for free! Hopefully the video gets people in the modding community, but more so, I’d love for ED to provide greater support for modders
DCS has come a long way. With (semi) mod support it will keep growing.
I started with Version 1.0 with LOMAC.
Awesome video. Real life pilot here too (helipilot), not as advanced as you are but getting to learn DCS. Mastered the S25T, now learning the A4 (how I found you on YT). Casual driver but it is my main hobby. I only fly in VR so extra immersion but also harder. If you haven't tried VR yet, you should mate. I hope your channel keeps growing, A+ quality content. @@Enigma89 Hi, no that was not me I used a different name for that game. I tried WWIIOL but as infantry. I only joined 3 online games and only once met a player on the same side as me.
My favorite mod have to be all the external mods made by the community for the f-18 and f-16 and other as well as the chinook and c-130 of course and many other like the ones in your description. However when it comes to the modules i love the f-14, she is just perfect.
and it's one of the best VR games to exist. My hope is that one day ED will produce a Civilian flight sim that knocks MS FS off its pedestal.
