I've been studying Japanese, so I think I can help with the packaging you had questions about and some clarifications! - The origami on the back of the Peach Kit-Kat says that the end result is supposed to resemble a peach. The little wings are supposed to be the leaves with the main body being the peach. - The Cherry Pocky on the box actually says it's a "subtly sweet" flavor, so it seems that it was meant to be subtle. - The Vegetable Chips say they're a "lightly seasoned salad" flavor which explains the subtlety that Albert seemed to dislike. - The 3 flavors of the Strawberry Chocolates are "Strawberry Milk", "Dark/Rich Strawberry" and either "Cherry Strawberry" or "Cherry Blossom Strawberry. The "Strawberry Milk" flavor is a rich milk-flavored chocolate topped with some bittersweet strawberry jam. The "Dark/Rich Strawberry" flavor is a made with a concentrated strawberry powder that gives it a stronger flavor than the others. It may also be not as sweet as a normal strawberry. The "Cherry (Blossom) Strawberry" flavor is actual bits of strawberry and cherry mixed into a whipped strawberry chocolate. It could also be cherry blossoms rather than cherries themselves since both are edible and are used in Japanese sweets. I hope that helps clear everything up! Let me know if you wanted to know more about what the packaging said for any of the snacks y'all tried today- I'd be happy to help out more ^_^
I’m glad that you guys enjoyed Japanese snacks and sweets! The Mochi that you didn’t like was Mitarashi dango🍡 . The sauce is made of soy sauce and sugar (+ mirin). I’m skeptical about the sauce you had because the color was quite darker than general one. You should try it again when you come to Japan 🙂
oh!!! i made that second one before! i think it's called warabi mochi? it really is like a jello. made with the same ingredients as mochi but a little bit more water then rolling it in whatever powder you want it to taste like
I love warabi mochi, it's not made with the rice flour (that is the more widespread and known version of mochi) and warabi mochi is cold because it is for the summer months (typically). Definitely think it would have been more enjoyable if it wasn't THAT covered with the matcha. I think you should try the warabi mochi that is dusted (lightly!) with kinako powder. It is a little sweeter but also a lot more smoother to the palate.
The Dango are my favorite, especially when they are fresh and warm. Also the konjac jelly is good, but your right they are small, favorite flavor are lychee and ramune.
Japan is totally on my bucket list of places to go before I die: next to Italy, China, the Philippines, Australia, New Zealand, Poland, South Korea, and France! 😍😍
there are other flavours for the ice cream mochi too, love the seasonal flavours of strawberry and chocolate! the original ones are not bad too, by definitely have to eat it more frozen~
Tina you need to try indian snacks😫 Try kurkure (the red ones), Tedhe Medhe, punjabi tadka, maggi(famous indian instant noodles) , hide and seek biscuits, gup shup peanuts(they’re spicy and full of flavours) please try theseee you are gonna love these flavours. Indian foods have really good seasonings
You often find mochi or dango in store fridges but thats only because the stores are trying to preserve it to last longer but it just ruins the actual thing (TT^TT) I love fresh warabi mochi (though its better with kinako instead of matcha) and it most definitely should not be fridged! Also, I think it would be fun for you guys to try making dango at home (super easy! just buy mochi flour (mochiko) and mix with water!) and you guys can add any sauce to it as you like (whether thats the mitarashi again or even just red bean). As a little kid I would often make the dangos into different shapes and it was super fun!
The grape jelly thing that you gave a 4 because you wanted different flavours. Well my friends gets something like that if not exactly that but in 4 other flavours. Mango, lychee, strawberry and grape, she got them at Costco!😋
OOOOOH cool we have a store in Hawaii and you should definitely go during the seasons cause they have different stuff especially Christmas I can get mint chocolate pocky sticks if you ever wanna try that 😂
Literally my favourite youtuber . I mean like she is so natural I like that about her . She doesn't fake it or anything she is just her . I like you soooo much tinna . Your video was nice too . 😘😘😘😘
Think the origami is definitely just a peach since it’s peach flavored Kit Kat’s as well. I’d rlly wanna try like half of these, especially the Kit Kat.
I love that mochi ice cream! But not the sweet potato flavour, even the vanilla flavour is great and yeah it has to be frozen. It"s horrible runny but delicious biting into the hard ice cream after the soft mochi and it melts on your mouth.
Omg I saw the burger yesterday and was wondering if I should get it .. now I’ll get them for my kids .. a lot of the time your share here are like snacks for kids… but lol it’s funny with the flakes .. adding milk.. I would have done the same .. but mm I’ll try some of these when I saw them too thanks ..
The matcha mochi you tried is actually warabi mochi, it is not the typical mochi made from rice! It is traditionally made with warabi root powder (though this can be expensive and hard to find, so some people substitute it with sweet potato or potato starch). It's supposed to be super squishy and chewy but also light and refreshing and will slightly melt in your mouth, so it's a good snack for summer or spring. I personally love eating it with matcha, but if you find it too much you can try the traditional flavour that is rolled in kinako (roasted soybean powder) and kuromitsu (brown sugar syrup). Also the origami instructions for the peach kit kat say that it's supposed to be a peach (もも), which I think is super cute cos it fits the theme. The konjac jelly is amazing too, grape is definitely my favourite flavour. Also I don't know if it's a super artificial grape flavour to you, but I think in general the flavour of Japanese grape candy (especially gummy candy!) always tastes like this. It's like a Kyoho grape flavour, so I always just chalked it up to the Japanese grapes being built different. Konjac jelly is great cos it's low in calories, there are some variations that are like 0kcal and no added sugar, so if you want a "healthier" but yummy snack this is perfect. The snow daifuku is really yummy too, never tried the sweet potato flavour but it looks yummy. I had sweet potato flavoured soft serve in Japan (Little Edo specialises in sweet potatoes, so everything there is made from sweet potato or sweet potato flavoured) and it was so so good.
Comment your favourite snack below👇🏻
Pocky, sour punch straws, KitKat, etc
my favourite snack is indian samosa

Mitarashi dango is so good. Love to eat it during the summer here in Japan.
I really don’t like mitarashi dango cold, but I love them after a few seconds in the microwave. It’s like night and day in terms of taste, imo. lol
oh!!! i made that second one before! i think it's called warabi mochi? it really is like a jello. made with the same ingredients as mochi but a little bit more water then rolling it in whatever powder you want it to taste like
