Traditional Boondi Raitha

  • Raita is a side dish in Indian and Pakistani cuisine made of dahi (yogurt often referred to as curd) combined together with raw or cooked vegetables
    Boondi raita is made with fried droplets of batter made from besan (chickpea flour also called gram flour)
    Ingredients :-
    1kg Greek Yogurt
    2 cups of boondi ( soaked in water for 2 hours then strained )
    1 teaspoon of chilli powder
    1 teaspoon of salt
    Method of preparing
    Pop the yogurt into a bowl and mix together
    Add the strained boondi
    Add chilli powder and salt ( you can adjust according to taste )
    Throughly mix together
    Garnish with a sprinkle of chilli powder
    Enjoy with the dish of your choice
