Wagner said that Weber was a great influence on him,he enabled Wagner to see the direction he should be taking with his music. BTW Weber was Constanze Mozart's first cousin, small world.
+ A Paradox !! Wow! Thank you for sharing that. I check it out and that is true! Weber being Constanze Mozart's first cousin is knowledge I appreciate. Weber has been my "favorite" composer primarily as a band director. Weber's music for Horn, Clarinet, Bassoon, etc. are masterpieces for those instruments. His Concertino for Horn is incredible. All those Clarinet pieces, such great teaching aids for good students. (and they are fun to play). A player needs to master the instrument; these make you feel you have if you play them well.
Glad you pointed that out. Within a few seconds of listening, I was wondering if he influenced Wagner. I'm not a musician and don't know musical theory, so it must be apparent from just listening. Being related to Mozart's wife did not surprise me, though I hadn't known it. I could be wrong, but reading history of 18-19th century musicians, it seems that such a relationship wasn't unusual, as it isn't unusual for modern-day athletes to marry one another or be related. I don't know if it is as true for musicians today.
Just to add that I don't think Weber actually knew Mozart personally:~ Weber was born in 1786, Mozart died in 1791. However,he might have known his cousin Constanze (Mozart's wife) she didn't die until 1842.
❤ Who is performing the Konzertstuck [21:45]? Heard umpteen performances of KS since my teens -- 40+ years ago -- to the present -- and this is one of the best performances I've ever heard!
Hey i dont care frau / frauline - dast Weber is superb!! I am loving your music, thank you Carl Maria. brilliant = grace combined with ...empathy, subtlety and technically excellent. and for me a recent "stumbleupon" find.
When he finds me he'll have to roll up his sleeves and show me how tough it made em'. We'll brake chairs and tables and roll around in the mud and have a great father and son time.

Just by curiosity, didn't you and Wolfgang ever have unpleasant brushes or let's say, moments of egos clashing and probably even heated discussions where insults are traded liberally? Did you ever have moments and think that your skills were and always had been superior to Wolfgang's?
does he think he is a woman? his work does not sound like it. cause if it would, it would make some sense. and would have some class of whatsoever. this is just amateuristic blabber, that does belong in the lake. E

God that was one of the most amazing things I've heard in my life:Concerto 1 Opus 73 - Alegro
The whole concert is fantastic, dreamy, romantic 💓💋
I think I'll name my next boy "Maria" and when he grows up I'll tell him it was to make him tough in the world.
What if he searches every town and bar to find you, because you gave him that awful name?
When he finds me he'll have to roll up his sleeves and show me how tough it made em'. We'll brake chairs and tables and roll around in the mud and have a great father and son time.
lol that made me day
My names are Riccardo-Zoran Maria (etc). I am a teacher, an artist, and a business man. Maria was the least part that made me "tough in the world"
my name was carl...maria is a middle last name!
Sooooo beautiful, i love it
Un bello complemento de armonía en un estado de gracia en el arte musical. Tocar el gong.
he was so talented and also so beautiful *_*
The second movement of the clarinet concerto is surely the most beautiful music he ever composed.
Weber wrote two clarinet concertos. Which one are you referring to?
@@yowzephyr First one, op 73
@@Kartendorf Thanx. So just now I listened to that 2nd movement. Yeah, quite nice.

Very well délicious.
Nice,very nice!
just can't beat it
Un chainon trop manquant dans le répertoire actuel des orchestres; il est vrai que l'esprit romantique n'est plus tellement d'actualité... indeed...
it was scary in the begining but in the end it sounded very good

Who are the conductor and the soloist in the clarinet concerto?
+ Adriano Ricci - I'd like to know as well! Great performance.
Certifié intergalactique ! Il serait mieux si chacun de Weber's compositions est téléchargé séparément.
so much like mozarts clarinet concerto it is enough to even confuse me who has actually played it. having said that brilliant though thanks.

I doubt it. Weber was 5 years old when Mozart died.
Carl Maria Von Weber bien

What is the piece that made H. Heine lose his judgment?
i always get confused with the two composers weber and webern
But if you listen to their respective works you wouldn’t mistake them for each other
