Vetoing the thermometer could've been so useful, because Sam and Ben might've thought that Adam used it because they were getting close to him, and it could've wasted hours!
If there's anything I've learned from this season of Hide and Seek, it's that there's absolutely zero reason to hoard cards as the hider. Ben got lucky with curses, but had no problem using his slowly as he saw fit, it was a way to throw roadblocks at them along the way to slow them down. Adam hoarded cards to maybe use at the endgame, discarded useful vetoes because his hand was too full, and used two curses at the end in a panic. One was useful to stall time, but one was useless because Ben had enough foresight to realize that the very reason for using the curse meant that they were going in the right direction. I honestly think that so far Adam and Ben had pretty equally confusing locations, Adam's spot confused the seekers until they stumbled ass backwards into the correct location, but Ben had way better gameplay because he was constantly making smart defensive moves to stall them.
HE over thought it, kept thinking about other questions that would cancel out the veto as opposed to not thinking about the seekers reaction to the veto. If he used the Veto on the Temp reading, Sam and Ben would have probably 5D chessed themselves into thinking he was in the north still. Or if he used it on the 100m, they would have been paranoid enough that they'd have wasted more time checking the area that wasn't covered.

Wait this is such a funny idea ahahah. Funnily enough, in one of the epsiodes of Unpaid Intern (gameshow similar to taskmaster) where Jet Lag members participated, one of the challenges they had to do was as follows: Each of the participants received a gps tracker and whoever put their tracker the furthest compared to the trackers of the other participants would win. (Basically, they triangulated the distances between all of the trackers and the one with the highest overall distance would win) Two jetlag members chose the starting position, Adam went for a country in Europe and Ben microwaved the tracker...
I thought of that too, but at the same time they would immediately ask the radius question and it would be risky because they could narrow it down much quicker
@@Maxel53 The show is on Ludwig's channel. I'm not a big fan on Ludwig, but I did watch this because Michelle and the boys were in it. And Adam's was in Australia.
Sam and Ben: we need to recalibrate to account for Adam's trickiness and lust for victory Also Sam and Ben: he only could've gotten to this region by doing something really weird and tricky, so he's probably not there
Am I the only one who feels like Adam should've vetoed the thermometer question? I feel like Sam and Ben would've asked the prefecture question anyway but then gone further north up to near Hokkaido, which then would've lost them even more time when then having to go back south. Also, it's one of those questions which really don't reveal the intention behind the veto compared to like a 5mile radius questions (because you're only ever gonna veto it if you're inside the radius, right?)
also, the moment the figure out that north is wrong, whether the thermometer, or with another question. i'd have use Curse of Medeocre travel agent. they already know they're going in the wrong direction, you'd be giving them nothing new. especially if you make them get off a train that's already going in the right direction.
I was going to say it felt like he was underutilizing vetos. I would have vetoed same prefecture. he knows they're heading north and are going to be choosing between two wrong options and vetoing is going to make them think they're closing in.
Just asking another question gets you more cards. I think his refusal to use vetoes early to fake a position up north was a misplay. (Playing it on the "Are you in this prefecture" would have been powerful in my opinion.)
Because they could then ask another similar question or make an educated guess that he vetoed bc the answer was important/revealing. Either way, it wouldn’t have slowed them down by much.
As crazy as it was to watch the vetoes go unused…that was still a solid first run. It could’ve become…a game ending run had those cards been played to perfection but I’m glad for things to still be up in the air lol
We got Adam going to a castle, Sam thinking there is no way for the hider to be in an area that he was in, now all we need is Ben getting drunk and the show is complete
They knew that Adam was near a castle, but last episode Adam and Sam also guessed that Ben would've searched for 'prettiest small towns in Japan' and gone there. They know each other so well it's great to see
castles were not only the thing that gave adam's town away, but him revisiting the castle was also the reason for his frantic spot choosing, which is absolutely poetic
This whole situation was hilarious. Before watching the video, I actually decided to attempt to find Adam before the seekers could do so, so I was half watching and half scouring Google Maps. I found him during minute 19 of the video basically by accident, funnily enough, from looking at the display image for the castle station, which has actually been updated to the actual station, of which there is clear footage of Adam in that location. The footage with the river and the bridge definitely helped me sort of 'feel' his location, and using the transit line feature on Google Maps, I was able to narrow down the options quite a bit. I am no GeoGuessr player at all, but I somehow guessed that Adam initially went south, so I was yelling at the seekers to head that way, to my amusement. It was amazing to see that Sam stumbled upon that exact station with the sole reason being that Adam loves castles. You guys make great content and you never fail to entertain me! Looking forward to the finale!
I think it's kinda funny that Ben, who is traditionally the less athletic one, walked almost non-stop including climbing a mountain several times - for almost 10 straight hours. And Adam - who is usually the runner/athletic one - was already tired of walking around after just 4 hours.
"We have to be prepared for Adam's trickiness" "Technically he could be in this chunk of the map, but that would be really tricky of him, so probably not. Let's just go the opposite way without asking" "wth he's in that little chunk?? how is this possible??? i don't get it????"
I'm liking Sam's potentially game winning location. An airport could easily double as any large metropolitan area or city and throw Ben & Adam off the sent. The only flaw in the plan would be to ask Sam picture questions like the tallest structure or 5 buildings etc
Another flaw is that it may have won Ben the game. Normally the hider's are limited by just how far they can travel on train in 3 and a half hours. If Ben is able to book a flight in his 3 hours, he could potentially go anywhere

I think what a lot of people are missing about the Veto thing is how there's other questions that basically give the same info, but give less card draw. So if they veto the prefecture question (draw 3 keep 1) they could use a radar (draw 2 keep 1) to gain basically the same info. Same with the thermometers exept those are just increasing or decreasing the distance the seekers have to go. Vetos are much better in the late game or when specific questions will screw you over. Basically wait till next episode for an example of that.

(Basically, they triangulated the distances between all of the trackers and the one with the highest overall distance would win)
Two jetlag members chose the starting position, Adam went for a country in Europe and Ben microwaved the tracker...
I thought of that too, but at the same time they would immediately ask the radius question and it would be risky because they could narrow it down much quicker
I would totally do this
@@Maxel53 The show is on Ludwig's channel. I'm not a big fan on Ludwig, but I did watch this because Michelle and the boys were in it. And Adam's was in Australia.
Sam and Ben: we need to recalibrate to account for Adam's trickiness and lust for victory
Also Sam and Ben: he only could've gotten to this region by doing something really weird and tricky, so he's probably not there
The crazy luck finding the building in the picture, even more crazy is walking into the woods and taking the first path directly to Adam!!!
0:50 imagine the locals just seeing two grown American men sleep below a bridge then wake themself up to manhunt their friend
Inflation goes hard type shi lmao
These Americans are craazy!!
Considering they're American they might not be that surprised
they look unemployed brooo
"gaijins 🙄"
I can't wait for hide and seek across Scotland. Adam could be in any of the castles you will never find him
lol
Loved the hangman untying the noose and trotting off to the pub at 37:10 😂
Yeah the motion graphics in these shows are great
But the motion graphic of him kicking the stool and dying was a bit morbid
45:20 Ben's smile after Adam's confusion is the ultimate answer to Adam's question
He should've vetoed the same prefecture question as well. By doing that it'd make it seem like he was up in the north in one of those two prefectures.
also, the moment the figure out that north is wrong, whether the thermometer, or with another question. i'd have use Curse of Medeocre travel agent. they already know they're going in the wrong direction, you'd be giving them nothing new. especially if you make them get off a train that's already going in the right direction.
@@seth8395 Thats what i thought
I was going to say it felt like he was underutilizing vetos. I would have vetoed same prefecture. he knows they're heading north and are going to be choosing between two wrong options and vetoing is going to make them think they're closing in.
Literally any bro would've added him at least an hour. Thermometer and the tallest building from the station are by far the most important.
Why didn’t Adam veto at 14:17 I thought that was the obvious move, since then they wouldn’t know if they travelled in the right direction?
probably thought they wouldn't find his specific place so soon
They could just ask another hot/cold question, and since they're on a high speed train it wouldn't take much time
Just asking another question gets you more cards.
They could've asked a similar question, which probably threw Adam off, but vetoing would've been optimal
As crazy as it was to watch the vetoes go unused…that was still a solid first run. It could’ve become…a game ending run had those cards been played to perfection but I’m glad for things to still be up in the air lol
The call to change the curses from buyables to cards was great, they can actually be used now
We got Adam going to a castle, Sam thinking there is no way for the hider to be in an area that he was in, now all we need is Ben getting drunk and the show is complete
loving how long the episodes are this season!!
@finlegh only the thing is that you could guess how the guys performed based on the Episode legth
Adam having a castle fixation is hilarious.
Adam getting rid of the Veto questions cards seems crazy. I think it would help so much with the end game.
It was a lot hotter where Adam was hiding vs further north where Ben was.
he said in video that its hot outside so maybe thats why
this is 50 minutes of pure stress free joy i love you guys
Stress free for everyone but Adam 😂
hiding at narita airport is the most sam thing possible
9:45 Ahhhhh yes, the “Winterthur Rule”, to prevent another “Winterthur Incident.”
He should use his veto on the last letter prefecture question, so they can't mark all the predecture around them off.
Sam going to Narita Airport is a comical thing to do. 😂
Better hope he can veto tallest structure and stuff
@RusNad he avoided answering that question, but the chasers asked multiple times about it.... and got him good
dawg did not have to spoil it bro
I loved the editing in this! Especially for hangman
43:59 "They are right behind me, aren't they?"
Such a cliché. The writers needs to step up their game
You know its going to be a good day when a Jet Lag episode comes out!
Yup
Preach
0:00 - 31:32 How are they gonna find him in 16 minutes?
31:33 OHH
This series is honestly peak. Well done
45:42 I've been there enough times to know that that is narita terminal 1's observation deck (17 times to be precise)
You can also read it on the side of the building when he first announces he made it to his spot, which, in my opinion, should have been blurred out
@@cookieshop_4668 Same thought, but I guess it would have been not difficult to find it.
As someone who already watched episode 3, you may be onto something
Correct, there is no reason to hide a location when it’s an airport. You just can’t.
@@cookieshop_4668 I think they did it on purpose because Sam doesn't care, he is aiming for epic end game anyway
"We have to be prepared for Adam's trickiness"
"Technically he could be in this chunk of the map, but that would be really tricky of him, so probably not. Let's just go the opposite way without asking"
"wth he's in that little chunk?? how is this possible??? i don't get it????"
I want to be as confident in anything as Sam is in "knowing" what direction Adam is in Hide & Seek.
“A Chase breaks out, an Adam Chase.” 😂😂

This is the worst day of the week for me. But this video makes it the BEST!
Ben as chaser, throwing eyes at the camera when someone makes a breakthrough is the highlight of the show.
31:34
There is always a point in the show that you make me laugh out loud. Love your show. Thank you for sharing!
I just realised that jet lag will post on Christmas Day, Best present ever!
omg REALLY?? THATS AMAZING
Thank you that just made my week
I love how I just googled the structure name "kabetachishiki tateana jukyo" and pretty much stumbled upon where he is.
At 3 minutes in I saw Adam talking about the castle and thought "Well he's nothing if not consistent." Guess Sam agreed with me lol
45:48 Sam you like planes too much
I'm liking Sam's potentially game winning location.
@@ptwkk I would have thought that the rules would have be quite specific (even if it hasn't been made clear in the first episode) - that they can't use any other form of transport other than trains.
@@ptwkk as a team ben , that would be so good , i would be rolling in my bed laughing if that happened and he went to nagasaki or hokkaido (i love hokkaido becz it was the first place i ever visited outside my country)
I think Sam's bad luck has finally turned into good luck and all the bad luck transfered onto Adam. You can see Adam's confidence crumble to pieces with every single time it cuts to him. Absolute cinema.
hold up, jet lag on 25/12?? That's better than any present money ecan buy!!!!!!!!!
if i calculated correctly
@@Bits.Gaming. they could give a bigger present and realese 2 episodes on 25/12
@@saramatiassardinha7187 oh crap you're right
I just seen what happened at 31:20 and to me he deserved to be able to change places in like 1.5 hours or something.
that picture of his exact spot is nasty XD
The best part of this version of the game, is that it showcases how much actual time it takes to get from place to place in Japan.
Its a good tool to learn how much you can do in a day
Image rainbolt seeing this and just knowing where adam is
cant wait for a "call Rainbolt" card
They really should get him on for a season
That would ruin the game tho, I feel, as he'd just be too good.
@@shadowfalcon8702 your probably right
btw google street view is banned soo
22:13 you can already know where Adam is. This is Tobiyama Castle Site Station on the Utsunomiya LRT, the recording of this video was after August 26, 2023 (when the line opened)
I think they dont recongize it lol
Never looked forward to Wednesdays before I stumbled upon this channel, thanks lads
Sam and Ben: Adam's going to do something unintuitive so we need to recalibrate
also Sam and Ben: heads north where it's the most intuitive option
Finaly im early btw i realy like the longer vids 45-100 min is the Best
Rediscovered this channel last night, had a blast watching ep. 1, was immediately upset to see it was the only episode so far, went to bed thinking about it, woke up to a brand new episode. 👍 Couldn't have planned it better.
45:20 That complacent smile 😂
0:49 Ben and Sam just waking up groggy under a bridge to go hunt down Adam is just peak jet lag 😂
Just a tip, Hangman word: NYMPH. it will stumble the seekers
0:50 I like the implication that Sam and Ben have slept under the bridge right after when Adam ran away and are now just waking up
The fact that they legitimately use physical cards, maps and etc. instead of a bot that randomly select the stuff is insane to me. LoL
I guess it makes sure that no part of the game can glitch out or fail on them, and it's more tactile when discussing play
It also helps them promote the card game they're selling.
Cards look infinitely better on video than some unseen bot
Life is better when there's a jet lag season active, Makes Wednesday's the best, can't wait for Jet lag on Christmas next week
14:14 Adam having a good time for some seconds
33:46 You could of done Qilah. It is my dead dogs name and it’s hard. 😁 I love jet lag.
42:20 I remember this card from hide and seek in Switzerland
Lmao 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Sam's face at 17:28 the absolute shock on his face and then he said and I quote, "We're Cooked"
I’ll be honest, I did not expect the jet lag team to fully animate a stickman hanging himself in this episode, but here we are
If Adam loves a castle, you guys should seriously come to the UK and do a game of Capture the Castle!
I am getting mad at how adam just won't use his card, especially the vetos one which could be super useful
he could have vetoed the same prefecture qns to confuse the seeker and make them feel that they r getting closed, and use it when they ask for tallest building from stn which really gives it away as that is like the only structure from the stn
why do he only use his curses last min too 💀
I think what a lot of people are missing about the Veto thing is how there's other questions that basically give the same info, but give less card draw.
Adam getting rainbolted is peak jetlag
Ben smiling at the end of this one and him hitting them with a litany of curses last episode was peak comedy.
Not Ben pulling out the protractor on the train haha
Adam said that the moment of taking down the disguise in Paris haunts him to this day. Not using veto here is a similiar disaster.
Truly a generational bag fumble from Adam. Could have used a veto and could have gotten to the much better hiding spot if he didn’t insist on hanging out by the damn castle. Why he wasn’t moving during hangman is beyond me.
22:52 gives slight "It's all in the trees" vibes 😂
Adam hiding near a castle once again is just perfect world building
it's been 35 seconds no nebula spoilers shoo shoo
@cscscscssdon’t look at the comments if you don’t want spoilers. Also it’s revealed in the first 10 seconds of the vid
31:30 The look in Ben's eyes - we got you, Adam.
I did not expect to see a stickman being hanged on Jet Lag today
