hi! What size phone can the front pocket accommodate? Any, does the pack fit true to size? I've seen some posts that it runs large and you should get one size down.

The two larges pockets each hold a 20 ounce soft flask, so any phone in that size range. The sizing is based on chest measurement, so as long as the measurement is accurate, the Small best fits 36"-38” chest sizes (measured at the sternum), the Medium best fits 39"-41”, the Large best fits 42"-44”, and the Xlarge best fits 45"-47” chests.

Where do poles go?

Hi there! This particular vest does not have a designated pole stowage system. Depending on the poles' collapsibility and weight, or other pack contents, one could potentially store them in the stretch kangaroo pocket on the exterior.
