    Great review! So many people use the Nathan handhelds and forget that they have really nice hydration vests too! I use a QuickStart and it’s super useful.

    I bought my first 4l Nathan vest because of your recommendation. I got the quick start lite. Still have it. Added a insulated 1.5l bladder and insulated hose. Need that to keep water cooled …running in Caribbean temperatures.

      Nathan make some good vests. The worst part is how many there are; they’re all so good that we’re spoiled for choice! Do you want ou ever put ice in the reservoir before going out for your runs?

    Thanks for the review. I'm looking for a new vest. I have an Ultimate Direction that has caused chafing on my back. Need one that won't do this and also important is one that has good ventilation and doesn't overheat me.

    Hi! I just bought this today. My options were the Lite or the VaporAir 2.0 7L. My chest is 38”, so I am right on the high end of the XS-M size, which I got. What’s crazy is that this one barely fits me with the Velcro set as wide as possible in the back, while the 2.0 in the same size always felt big even when I made it as small as I possibly could. Do you think I’m doing something wrong, or do they fit very differently in your experience? I have 10 days to return it if I don’t like it, and the 2.0 (being an older model now) is about $50 cheaper at just $75 compared to $125 for the Lite.

    • @its_Matt_B_
      @its_Matt_B_ 8 місяців тому +1

      In my experience they fit very different so it's best to try what you can before deciding on what to keep. I've found I like the smaller sizes because the tighter fit is more comfortable to run with!

      @GFCoyleWVU 8 місяців тому +1

      @@its_Matt_B_that’s good to know. As long as I wasn’t doing anything wrong (the employees at the store didn’t think I was), the Lite fit much better. My only concern is that it’s as big as it can get and is still very snug … so I better not gain any weight! 😅 Thanks for the reply.

    • @its_Matt_B_
      @its_Matt_B_ 2 роки тому +1

      No, I didn’t measure myself before I got it because only the L-XXL was available at the time. However, this vest is so adjustable that I wouldn’t worry too much about size. As long as you’re in the ball park sizing wise, you will be able to adjust the back panels and make it fit!

    Hi Matt, between this one and the Nathan Pinnacle 4l, what would you choose for the normal long road run (1.5 -> 2.5 hour) ? And what's the pros and cons of each compared to each other?

    • @its_Matt_B_
      @its_Matt_B_ 2 роки тому +1

      If you haven’t seen my review of the Pinnacle 4L, you can find it here: ua-cam.com/video/Y_5EfqkKOIY/v-deo.html
      The Pinnacle is $50 more than the VaporAir Lite 4L.
      The VaporAir Lite 4L. has a more versatile adjustment system, but only two sizes.
      The Pinnacle 4L has waterproof pockets.
      IMO, the Pinnacle 4L is the better of the two, or at least I prefer it. 👊🏽

      @@its_Matt_B_ thank you, I've watched the review of the Pinnacle and I think if I could decide on the sizing, I'll take the Pinnacle over the Air. My chest size is 35.8", which is just over the XS size, but I read the Pinnacle is roomy that might need to size down. What size do you think would be a better fit for me? Thanks!!

    • @its_Matt_B_
      @its_Matt_B_ 2 роки тому

      @@ThaoTheScorpion I think a vest should fit pretty snug, so I would probably size down, but if you can find somewhere with free returns (or try one on in a shop), it would be best to try both and keep the one that fits best.
