    Hiya Greg, awesome video and I have had my pants falling down from too many rocks in my pockets. Lol
    Those stones are so beautiful, especially when you polished them, I love all the colors on them. Simply beautiful.
    I hope you have a awesome blessed day.

    Found a 25 lb piece of handed iron. I usually end up like u with pockets so full u have to hold pants with one hand. Nice video.

      @@meMiner i do all my intial rounding in my rotating tumbler, but then i move to 180/220 for 3 days in vobrating tumbler, 500grit 3 days in vibrating, 1000 grit for one day and then 8000 grit for 2 days and they shine like crazy. the last thre stages i also add a tablespoon of borax.

    I have been watching your videos for couple of years now. I always like to do a little rock hounding whenever l can. Recently l got some pieces of petrified wood from the Yellowstone River in Montana. What do you recommend to apply to these pieces to get the growth rings to stand out? When it's wet it looks beautiful but when it dries everything fades and you can hardly see the wood patterns☹️

    • @meMiner
      @meMiner  11 місяців тому +1

      Polishing would help. I have used a rock tumbler to polish rounded petrified wood. I have also used a flat lap to polish slices.

    Undercuts, and bleeds out, making them look sort of dingy, when I do it, have you tried a loto for the final stage on this? If so, is there a difference in outcome

    So the red stone is iron?? I found bowling ball size red stones and quarts stones in the gold rich area prospect. i never knew they were iron related/? thanks for the vid i luv to see what you find. I also suffer from the pockets full of rocks problem>> So i now carry a back pack:0 and my pockets are still full of rocks. hahha

    • @meMiner
      @meMiner  11 місяців тому

      If banded iron formation, it is layers of iron oxides and iron poor cherts. So the red doesn't have iron.
