Great video! Nice and relaxing to listen to, but also informative. Watching your videos over time has gotten me interested in the whole subject of solvents (like turpentine and mineral (white) spirits). So I now have added them to my toolbox and I find they come in handy for certain kinds of cleaning and degreasing ( turpentine also has germicidal properties and is a pest repeller as well). I notice you favor "methylated spirits" (denatured alcohol) quite a bit, and I'll be experimenting with this next. Keep up the great videos!

Hey fella. Is B.I.N any good as a primer for going over things like tiles and uPVC or is zinsser 123 better?

Whats so good about it? Is it just because it seals things well without the surface below coming through?

Great video & advice. I first used BIN on a three story staircase from dark wood to white! I soon realised it had to be put on thin & quick without the temptation of revisiting. Once you get used to it a great stain-blocker/primer. Many thanks for the video & pleased I’ve actually used it correctly. It’s now always in my van.

Have you guys used the bin aqua? (green label) its a total game changer, does everything that red bin does but is water based 👌

Don’t spot prime before emulsion as it flashes through and you’ll end up having to rub the wall down and start from scratch. Good for spot priming outside though, sheds, etc.

It is difficult but you shouldn't get flashing. Will do a video on covering a stain and making sure it doesn't flash. thanks

Don't use it to over paint/fix a more flexible bathroom paint, it's brittle and won't play well. Also has a very thin bottom on the tin, don't stir with any metal or you can Peirce the bottom

Always use sticks or plastic to stir your paint. And you can have problems with some paints.
