    Cleaned up well, is the super dec a hybrid paint? I've been using johnstones aqua satin today, (not the fully water based guard cersion). It tends to do the same with brushes when you first wash them in water.

      Yes cleaned up nicely I, don't think it's due to any oil. But I'm not sure if it's a hybrid. Will check that information but I think it's more to do with resin. Again I will have to check. 👍

    Oh FFS...that's backwards.
    Leave them overnight in the turps rinse them out in the soapy water. Job done.
    Been a dec for 46 years

      Not really it saves on white spirit as we don't use turps. Turps is not used for cleaning brushes. We used turps on blowlamps in the past. Guess your learning watching this channel. Thanks 👍👍

      Firstly, it's 'you're ' not 'your'; so maybe I could teach you something about grammar.
      Turps isn't used for cleaning brushes ??? What a load of nonsense, and as for 'blowlamps' ?? What century are you living in ?
      So you're saving on white spirit eh ?, like a thimble full ?
      You've probably lost two man hours of time washing out scrubs that don't look like they're worth saving in the first olace.

      No harm to the guy but it looks like he's been working on his own so long he's stuck in the past with the old techniques from the 70's.
      And his blowlamp...hahaha

      Didn't we use petrol instead of white spirit when we were kids 50 years ago. Then soapy water then clean water? Thanks for uploading. Cheers.

    Any tips on white glossing knotty pine or dark brown wooden skirting boards, doors and bannisters. Just how good is knotting solution to prevent resin from bleeding through in a year or two's time?

      @PaintingandDecorating 4 дні тому

      Knotting done correctly is very good at sealing knots. 2 knotting and B.I.N on top. Thanks

      The white spirit was not for the superdec it's water based. Johnstones direct to metal is oil based.
