Thanks for sharing, I really love your no nonsense, common sense approach. So refreshing - the engineers that made these cars were smarter than the idiots flogging a thousand upgrades that most people don’t need. Spot on!
For me in Victoria the things that are WANTS and are not NEEDS are, bullbar, LR fuel tank, draws system (for wagon 4wd), two spares, winch, snorkel, roof top tent and engine performance modifications. I've done most of the tracks in Victoria in a simple '90 Hilux. Victoria maybe hilly but it isn't remote, what's more important is warm winter gear and camping set-up.
I like your setup and see that you have done a lot of r.n.d. to see what works for you guys the best, it's all very practical and not over the top 👍, I'd like to let you know to have a look at a victron bp 65, ( battery protect 65amp)it's a adjustable low voltage switch that you put on the load side of the battery cable ( after anything else) to stop things like the fridge from draining the battery ( it's like a sbi12 but it works at lower volts), AGM and deep cycle battery's don't like the drain much below 11.8v before you do damage and shortin the life out of your battery, their not very expensive , just remember it's like a one way valve , but a good thing to have that Will save your battery 😁👍
i like my pre facelift bumper bar how it is and do not want to put a bull bar on. As i like the handelling and like to tour without killing the car. glad someone agrees as well
Thank you for sharing mate. I like the draw fridge. Especially that you can run several draws and power up only what’s needed. Where is the fridge from? Also, I like the charcoal colour especially with the black accessories and tinted windows.. In your other vids you mentioned ho for white fir ease of repair. Just wondering whether that has changed given you have charcoal here? Also, who made the draw system? They seem to be out of ply? I like the idea of having something modular so you can stack on fridge space or more shelves if needed. Are you aware of any systems like that?
It is a custom set up and we haven’t found a manufacturer who would actually like to make thousands of dollars from manufacturing them. They’re all too busy already same old problem for years.
Nice rig mate. Currently running a 2015 kakadu on 285/70/r17's with a "2inch" lift. Currently looking at a Prinsu roof rack from The States. Do you know much about them or would you recommend them? Apparently utilises factory roof rail bolt points instead of having to drill extra holes like the Rhino rack.
Nice simple info. Whats it like to drive on road? I have recently bought a 2002 Prado 90 series D4D auto but not that impressed with the ride & thinking about changing it for a 120 or a 150, what's your thoughts on the 90, 120 & 150 on road ride?
I was interested in your comment regarding diff lock in your 120, having it in the front not in the rear ( appears that was an issue?), what is your view on a diff lock in the 150 if someone got one, front or rear?, Im of the view putting one in the rear would be best for my purposes but the jury seems to be out, would love your view , greta videos really enjoying them thanks
@@fourby4adventures704 Ive watched most of them mate your costing me a fortune , got deliveries from Kaon coming , love the info , love the Prado my 2010 is still going strong
Mate just in the process of ordering our new prado Iv got a built dual cab atm with all the gear , I like the way you think , it’s almost got me convinced to not add any of the bolt ons when we order this Friday , iv never hit anything on any of our travels , but I have used my winch , iv heard of in bumper winch cradles ? Have you seen these ? Anyways I’m really loving your vids Thanks for any advice

That doesn't mean some things can't be improved upon, or removed in the case of EGR.
Nice walk through. Some good ideas. I like the way you’ve done the radio. The food down table on the back door is a great idea.
Awesome detailed video with no carry on!
Magnificent set up and proves you don't need to spend ridiculous amounts of money to get a tourer set up.

excellent!. no bigger tires?
Who makes the rear storage? Sorry if I missed it.

So the roof rack mounts lower on the rails? Are they rated the same?

My dream vehicle
Got my Prado 150 a few months ago .. certainly dissappointed with the back door rattles .. (tyre on door). My ML350 back door does not rattle ..
Hello, one question how to enhance the vehicule ? is it the suspesion or the wheels ? or both ? thanks
Any further details on the drawers? I believe you were looking for another company to make them?
Soon 🙏🤞

Sweet setup. But without tow bar - I guess your tow hook is for rear recovery?
Thanks for sharing! 😊
Thanks mate. Did you build the draw/storage system yourself? Or buy it from?
Excuse me, where did you buy the tailgate antenna bracket, thank you

Hi mate, what tire size are you running?
265/65-17
Nice video. I tried BFG KO2 and Cooper ST Maxx. IMHO the ST Maxx is definitely a stronger tyre. Went back to them after a set of KO2's.
What if you hit an animal touring on the open road?
Check and see if it’s dead or something in its pouch depending what your findings or dinner be ready very soon 🤷♂️😁🤣✌️
@@fourby4adventures704 LOL thanks! I hope you know I meant “with no bull bar”. :) I’d rather not have my trip halted by significant panel damage…?
what spec is your tyres? nice set up👍
2 sets of Cooper's. Nothing but trouble. Poor side walls, punctures, and bulges in tread. Never again.
Funny people bag things made in China but still have to buy them. 🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️. Go buy something made somewhere else.
Can I ask what model your radio and the two antennas are please?
