  • Today we look at the best Automotive fluid extractor and dispenser that I found on Amazon. This is the Vevor Pneumatic Transmission Fluid Extractor and Dispenser. But don't be fooled by the name. You can use this Extractor and Dispenser with any other automotive fluid that you need to drain and fill. The beauty of this kit is that it brings you 14 adapters to use with draining and filling sealed automotive transmissions, hence the name. This Transmission Fluid Extractor and Dispenser Kit is much better than anything Harbor Freight has to offer. That is because Harbor Freight doesn't have anything comparable to this. The closest Harbor Freight Fluid extractor and dispenser is a manual pumping unit and does not include any transmission adapters. Oh, and did I forget to mention that the Harbor Freight unit costs $70 MORE than this one from Vevor. This unit easily beats out anything from Harbor Freight. If you plan to change the Transmission Fluid on a modern Sealed Transmission, then this is the kit that you will need. I will test this unit in the video and try to pump thick 80W-90 Gear Oil or Differential Fluid. Will it be able to handle such a thick fluid? Watch and find out!

    Cool. For some reason, watching that air bubble through the water reminds me of my days in college.😎

    Great, super informative video as always.
    Can you recommend a similar air-powered unit for bleeding brakes?

      I'll look around and see what I can come up with. I think I looked around a while back when I was doing some brake bleeding, and couldn't settle on any particular unit because of the way that they pressurized the master cylinder. I couldn't find a universal one at that time. What I saw would fit some cars but not all, and I try to get things that ALL my viewers can benefit from, not just a few. But I'll look again and see what I find.

      This one works for ALL automotive fluids like I said in the video. You can use it for oil if you want to with no problem. Use the dipstick attachments that I showed and you'll be fine.

    What was the final transfer time of the gear oil? You didn't mention that at the conclusion of your time lapse segment, unless I missed it.

      I didn't mention the time because I didn't think anyone would care. You just threw a question at me that I wasn't expecting so I didn't time it. I think it was only around a minute to a minute and a half. I basically doubled the speed of the video so you can double whatever the segment is and go by that roughly. I could have kept it the full run time but I know how impatient some viewers get, so I sped it up.

      @@ModernDIYProjects No worries, I wasn't criticizing or critiquing, just curious if you knew the true elapsed time -- I also realize all fluids are different, so there's no exact science to all of this. Thanks for the response and for your helpful channel.

    6:12 How do i get it to unscrew? out of the box mine is super tight and am unable to unscrew it

      Yea, it comes REALLY tight. The way I got it off was to place it between my legs then use a big bar across the handle and twist it off. Really stupid how tight it comes.

    DOESNT THAT FLOW VALVE NEED TO BE AT A 12 O' CLOCK POSITION WHEN EVACUATING???

    • @ModernDIYProjects
      @ModernDIYProjects  2 місяці тому

      Nope. I put it in the position that is shown on the diagram. It's kinda hard to make a mistake when they show you how to do it.
