Guys remember that not using yoyr heropower on the early turns is a missplay even if you cant heal anything. there is always the chance of your opponent getting scarab into spellslinger that gives you unstable portal into frost giant!

Or they could get mulch, which more than doubles the odds from .004% to .008002%, since it also introduces the possibility of you summoning a frost giant from a mountain giant that you transformed with recombobulator, and later casted a duplicate, which your opponent triggers on your newly transformed frost giant, or you might get the spell that puts a copy of an opponent's minion into your hand with either your opponent's spellslinger, your spellslinger from thoughtsteal or unstable portal, or nexus-champion Saraad from unstable portal or summoning stone, casting it on your opponent's frost giant. Or the infamous druid spell recycle into thoughtsteal wombo combo, which could also generate a frost giant to your hand. If you don't use hero power on turn 2 as priest when you have nothing else then you should probably just uninstall since you are basically the worst player ever.

Trying this deck out...I had two Summoning Stones on the board, then one of them summoned a third Summoning Stone. My opponent conceded.

Its so sad to see what this game has become.. After watching this I made a hunter deck with summoning stone and played it in normal, and literally the only decks I saw were face hunter, mech mage and fucking secret pally. Like, really? In normal? After a new expansion?

I've been playing this in a unique tempo based Mage deck with stone. So far it's got around 85% win rate at rank 13.
There's some really cool things the deck does.
Early game you use tempo based spells to control the board, the only -4 mana minion I run is mad scientist so you can run double master jouster and almost always win. Early game tempo cards double up as late game burn or even random minions when combined with summoning stone.
If I can take it up to the high ranks I'll be sure to make a video about it.
It's worth noting that after Emperor, the summoning stone will give you a minion with the same mana cost as the reduced cost of the spell, as you can see 22:42
i always watch kripp's videos when i'm about to go to sleep. his voice is so gentle and soothing somehow it helps me sleep. also, i love hs.

Holy shit! Didn't expect this card to be that insane at 10 mana! This is gonna form a new meta for sure!
+Dasc Swem There's actually 4 10-mana minions that can be summoned: Varian Wrynn, Frost Giant, Sea Giant, and Deathwing. In the Brawl prior to TGT, it was only Sea Giant or Deathwing.
Just as a note, we're not entirely sure if the "random card of the same mana cost" is truly random or if it's weighted towards certain rarities. It's possible it's a 25% chance of Deathwing, but it's also possible it's not if Blizz tweaked things internally to avoid too many legendaries at high mana costs and too many commons at low mana costs.

I fought a Summoning Stone/Explorers Hat Hunter a few days ago.
It was pretty neat, he kept making 2 drops and running them into stuff.
Then I broke the summoning stone, and he ran out of tempo.
It's still cool to see people trying new decks though.

was really satisfying since everything had synnergy Cx turned out to be a 24 ghaz'rilla
Did altered this deck a bit due to the lack of some of the cards and played one of the most epic control priest games I ever played :D

I play a summoning stone in my Mage deck. Casting a Firelands Portal with one of these out is oh so satisfying.
exactly you get 12 mana worth of minions and 5 dmg for 7 mana only

It's really fun card in games where you're messing around with friends, one of the funnest and most overlooked aspects of hearthstone. Managed to cast a 9 mana pyro blast with this out (sorcerer's apprentice) and malygos popped out adding another 5 damage to the pyro hahaha
I tried it with Mage and rogue but I found that shaman was good because of all the 1 mana spells that you can play along with a 3 mana spell, there is also healing because your card are mostly 4 or above because of your curve
I think summoning stone works well when you don't pay for it at all. I'm talking about when you get it from Effigy after a 5 drop such as Loatheb dies. (If you ignore the cost of effigy)

Playing Shadow Madness on the Sorcerer's Apprentice seemed like the most genius play when i saw it live
I won loads of games with this so far. It's like you drop it, throw a spell, gain a minion and people squirm as they try to get rid of it. I would say a combo where you give the stone some damage would be ideal.
Summoning Rogue:
Summoning stone + conceal + next full summoning turn (turns 6, 7 for huge profit )
or Summoning stone + preparation + sprint on turn 9 is just insane
I've been playing an innerfire priest with 2 djinns and one of these. It can be pretty amazing but I couldn't see it being that good out of the deck. When you can divine spirit and innerfire it into a 12/12 as well as being able to get creatures whilst playing various buffs and removal spells it can cause huge huge lategame tempo plays or straight win you the game.
I haven't had this much fun playing hearthstone in years after playing this deck

I tend to use it with mirror image turn 6, saving my spells where possible. If the other player doesn't deal with it right away, you can win the game just with it. combine it with mass empower minions like stormwind and raid leader and you can kick serious ass in most cases.

Deathwing is looking even more playable than ever
Got that card once in this weeks tavern brawl on mage, this card has so much value
it seems like kripp is loving a lot of the cards he trolled in his first review, meta is getting really interesting
I'm a new player, I decided to buy LOE and get the other expansions with gold. I'm using Summoning Stone with Mage and Druid, it works quite well for me. Things get really good when the other player can't kill it, so I just keep summoning minions. Even better when I get to play Mukla's Champion before or after I played it, then things get out of control pretty fast. At least in lower ranks it does the trick.
Adding Nexus Champion actually helps in this deck, perhaps more than Lightbomb does...I got a nice +1/+1 hat which deathrattle, put another hat in your deck....very useful.
So the effect triggers after a spell is cast? Kinda confusing because they used "whenever", instead of "after" like with the Wild Pyromancer.

I like it with Lightbomb if it survives a turn. And it can be insane in Explorers Hat decks too
i had this with warrior in arena (yeah i took it for the sake of it) actually helped me a lot cause even though i didnt have a lot of spells or even a lot of high spells (couple of executes, cleave and bash) it meant that when i used a spell (spare parts too and spellslinger) i still got something on the board and it acts almost like a taunt cause some people wanted to get rid of it just incase cause it was spawning stuff. went like 6-3, not awful.
I have a Reno Control Mage and I combo this card with Flame Lance, and I use flame lance to prevent duplicates for Reno and I typically gets good cards out of it
Very off topic from this video in specific, but have you (Kripp) tried out OTK (one turn kill) priest? There is a specific six card combo that can deal 32 damage to anyone in one turn, and it costs 6 mana.
Required cards are gnomeregan infantry (3 mana 1/4 charge, taunt), power word shield x2(you know this), then double divine spirit and then inner fire for a 32/32 charge.
I have been trying to get a deck like this to work, but mostly things like tournament medic and mogu'shan warden tend to be the ones doing the damage to close out the game.

I have this in a buff paladin along with the Djinnies. Hilarious games and good winrate! Finally HS is becoming more than an endless grind against super efficient aggro decks.

I try this deck and I added a couple of Injured Blade Masters and a Light of the naaru and its help to curve very well also good sinergy with Resurrect and Achunai.
this spell is awesome with mage, you can throw it down with echo of medivh and get two decent cards in hand for a fatigue deck. but in arena you never know as it isn't for spell heavy play
I´ve had a fun time climbing to rank 3 with a summoning stone mage deck. The card is actually good enough to build a deck arround it.
You could play Nexus Hero Saraad too... free spells with a healing/damage if auchenai is down
Pretty good deck idea, could use a bit of work but I'm not sure yet myself how I'm going to change it, as is though I managed to climb to rank 7 from rank 5.
Well I got ahead of myself and wanted to make a spell-based Malygos mage combo thingy. Crafted Arcane Blast and only when I was in game realized it can only target minions. RIP my dust... Kripp how could you.
WoW, looks like this expansion is stronger than we thought, I mean, almost every card has shown potential in costructed and even are good enough in arena.
I personally like summoning stone and sprint, along with a few 2 and 3 cost spells on the two turns.
i've been running a summoning stone freeze mage and you can Stone into frost nova and then next turn play flamestrike and you kinda just win if you get it off.
with discounts it also works the other way so if someone loathebs and you have a summoning stone you say on like turn 10 you want to clear the board with say holy nova you will get a 10 drop.
Is the thing tracking the cards in his deck on the right side something he adds in post editing, or some kind of app? Seems pretty cool.
Protip, watch all his stream VODs in advance to not having to wait for all these vids.
You neglected to mention that if Resurrect actually brings back Summoning Stone you'll actually get a 2-mana minion immediately from the Resurrect- at least I ASSUME that's what happens, since Resurrect procs Wild Pyromancer if it revives that (which you DID mention). Bit of an afterthought detail I guess, but it makes it all the sweeter!
I need to know one thing... If I use a Spell that it cost was reduced by Thaurissan,
the Summoning Stone will Summon a Minion with the ORIGINAL cost or CURRENT cost?
I really really hope this card sees a lot of play. It would slow down the meta so much! And if it doesn't then whatever. I'll be that one guy you run into on ladder playing the summoning stone decks. Because it really is a fun card. :)
I wonder if there's a viability in a Lorewalker Cho + Summoning Stone combo. Kind of a unique way of milling someone
Hey Kripp. Im just wondering if it isnt bad idea to use Sum. St. in Malygos shaman deck.
I know, low minion drop because of the spells... but it fills board with any "Cannon Fodder" Summoning stone may be summoned by Ancestor call (the question is :if the effect of SS will trigger or not?) and it might overwhelm the opponent. it changes the deck but maybe it is worth of checking it out?
My first match using your build, my opponent was forced to kill both my stones at the expense of all his cards, and ran out of fuel....poor little rouge :P
Savjz casino stone mage freeze mage is quite good as well if you want to play an echo giants level summoning stone deck. Stone + freeze effect is hilarious.

The League of Explorers: So far Anubisath Sentinel, Summoning Stone, Reno Jackson... all three where said to be bad / wont see play by most, are well seeing play and getting the job done..... cant wait for them Murloc deck to popup from Pally and Shaman.
All where said to be bad and unplayable by the "Top Players' and yet turned out to be some of the most OP cards, and combo cards out there, even to the point where some had to be nerfed or caused other cards to be nerfed....... This is at the time they came out.... some as of now have been nerf or are no where near as good as when they came out thanks to newer cards / combos.
......... and remember how many people said Dragon Priest or Dragon Warrior would never be a thing.
I realized how good summoning stone was when I played it in my buff priest deck. Turns out that it, along with djinni, is pretty good.
The tavern brawl right now helps the summoning stone shine SO HARD!
I love summoning stone, managed to get a deathwing, dragonlord and two brans from it. I woulda been able to get something else for 10 mana if the enemy didnt concede D:
the software you use to keep track of the cards you draw and the ones you have left in your deck SHOULD BE in the game ! that's great !

I like this card. I laddered with it + bunch of removal/draw spells + Duplicates/Mirror Entity + Apprentices + Flamewakers + Mana Wyrms + Spellslingers + Antonidas and I managed to get 10/4 around rank 10. The biggest problem for me is that it has no attack. So as soon as it gets silenced, it's a terrible card that basically makes you lose. At least in mage spell decks. Could at least have 2 attack for some damage.
i made a deck for this card, priest with alot of cheap taunts and spells but the key here is summoning stone with mind catrole, becuase there are not alot of 10 mana cards and most of them are great and the deathwing is most of the time

This card fits in amazingly well in a mage deck as a plan B. Been working quite well for me.
Summoning stone is really quite fun. I'm not so great at Hearthstone, like I usually hit rank 18 or 19 most seasons. Made a Mage summoning stone deck and made it to rank 15. It's just so much fun to base everything on luck. haha

You should toss in lorewalker Cho. If you wouldn't mind giving your opponent excavated evil, then what is the problem with getting more value than them with every spell either player casts. You could even get some mill going on with it, seems like a good fit to me. maybe even toss in Gallywix if you play rogue :p
