@@DanielKJohanssonTrombone My pleasure Daniel - And Yes, Michael ;-) This little video you made is a great compilation of some of the essential principles of Barry's teachings but also David Baker's and you said it: "Grounded" is just what they are! There is a Genial simplicity to them that It took me many years to discover after being deeply involved with "advanced jazz theory". I'm slowly revising both the way I teach and play thanks to Barry. Now that he is not with us in person any more he feels even closer and is watching over us from above! 😎 I wish I had known David baker too, I am sure he was a great teacher and and inspirator of many!
great materials! Would love to learn more about those Barry Harris scales! 1/2 steps in between the whole steps then a diatonic approach below the half steps? wow! fyi- purchased the outstanding packet you put together!
Thank you, Daniel!
Excellent, Daniel! Great and very clear presentation! 👌🏾 Glad you are hip to Barry's concepts!
Barry was my good friend and I had the pleasure and honor of studying with him for many years 🙏🏽 S.D.G.
