Trombone Mutes - Which Should You Buy?
The exercises you present on your channel are all very helpful. ( a little bit intimidating, but definitely the right stuff to practise ) 🙏🏼❤️
Bro, this is tuff brain gymnastics, but definitely worth it ❤
Thx man, you are agreat educator. This definitely improves my trombone language tremendously. ❤
I only watched this video ten times.Thank you
Thank You!
Believe it or not, I've been dealing with this topic for the last 2 months. It couldn't have been better timing for the video 😅...Greetings from Čakovec!
I love it when the timing is perfect, hehe. It's such a nice little icing on the cake so to speak - I hope you nail your turns! 🎶
Thank you ,very instructive !
Always love your vid (including this one), but I really wanna comment on your shirt! Dude, I played that video game a ton on my Commodore 64 back in the day. A Bruce Lee game correct? Anyways love the shirt, and your vids❤️ take care!
Yes! I still have my C64 (but stuffed away in the closet, I need to find a place for it!). I bought the shirt last (or this?) year, but with every wash the print fades slightly - so it almost looks like an original from the 80's. 😊🕹️ Thank you for watching!
Many thanks for the video! Gold!!! 🤝🤝🤝
Glad it was helpful! 🎶
Great video I dont play trombone (as you know) but after this I think I know a bit more now I just have to find the lips and the air to make it happen. Be safe and skilful. Pinge
Just give it time - soon enough you will be playing trombone as well. 😁 Thank you for watching Mr. P!
Wow! Спасибо! 🤝
I need to practice arpeggios...on ANY instrument. I play: piano, euphonium, trombone, & guitar, and they ALL need arpeggio practice, BIG time! I also play the North Indian tabla...no arpeggios needed there, though(!) HAVE AT IT!
This is really very educational. Thank you Sir.
Thank you! I didn't know about highlighting bars and 'insert space'. That's a great bit of useful information. Way to go.
Great, glad it was helpful!
Great song choice, sounds good! 👌🏻
great, thanks alot
After finishing it won't save or give me the play back button. Do I do something after finishing?
I'm not sure, that hasn't happened to me... Is the song still there, just not "clickable"? Maybe search around in the iReal Pro forums: irealb.com/forums/
Hi ! Thanks you for your advices, it helps me a lot ! But i dont achieve to pay those exercices... the arpeggio works good but not this one, any idea ?
Hello, glad to hear it's helpful! Do you mean you paid but didn't receive the PDF? In that case, email me at info@danielkjohansson.com and I'll take a look!
For those of you wondering where my trombone tutorials are - they will probably return, I just needed to focus on my own development for a while. I really appreciate all the kind words, and other interesting feedback as well. Keep swingin'! 🎶
Nice to hear from you again! Looking forward to the new tutorials.
Nice
N ight in Tunsia?
Thanks for your channel
Thanks!
Thank you, I appreciate it!
Thanks!
Thank you for the contribution!
What mute are you using?
Yamaha Silent Brass from the 90's.
"Patterns for Jazz" is actually a great book of arpeggios and different scale form exercises, and there's a bass clef version
De ti aprendí los ejercicios de disminuido y perfeccioné bastante. Gracias!!!!
Jerry Bergonzi's Inside Improvisation Vol.2 Pentatonics chapter 2 creating pentatonic lines using skips and steps
Thank you ,excelente video .
muy bueno donde puede encontrar la partitura de curtis fuller yesterdays improvisación
Very good benifical
Jerry's Coker's Patterns for Jazz - Bass Clef instruments
The mutes actually sound really nice and add more jazzyness and vintage vibe to the sound
Going to do this challenge using your list, but will not do it in 30 days. I'll tackle each standard for five days.
Nice, that sounds less stressful. 😁 Good luck!
Are you playing a Martin trombone?
It is indeed a Martin Committee, from the early 60's!
That tone is just amazing.
a great tune, well played.
Thank you! Yes, beautiful tune. 🎶
Que boquilla utilizas?
In this video it's a Bach 7C, but I have since then switched to the Yamaha Nils Landgren mouthpiece!
amazing video, just got my braces off and this is helping rebuild my range and new embouchure!
Grymt Daniel! 🎉
Tack Henrik - ett väldigt roligt projekt!
Nice man ! Upload the full gig if you have it...its good stuff :)
Thank you! I might upload some complete tunes at least!
I did a Instagram short on this lick, super fun when you really honk them low tones out.
I like the stuff you introduce for trombone, I was wondering about a tune called Senor Blues because of the Ebmi going to B.
That’s a cool song, and using a B7 adds another flavor to the minor blues. I have actually never played it (I love Horace’s recording though) but I think I would treat that chord like it was a “regular” Abm7 and just replace the note bb with an a.
In 5:39 You played C#, not as in note description - C:)
Good catch! I wasn't precise enough there. Pretty nice sounding scale as well though. 😁
Curtis played on an Olds Opera
Great
Sound great!
Thank you! 🎶
Are these 3 as silent as an old silent brass Yamaha? Thank you for your teaching.
Yes, I would say they are similar. The Rejano is probably even a bit more silent than the Silent Brass.
Wow thanks. What difference did you find in the resistance?
@@paulrodberg From what I remember they are fairly similar. Maybe the Best Brass has a tiny bit more resistance when going from C(6) to Bb(1) for instance.
@@DanielKJohanssonTrombone thank you so much for your kind help.
Great tune, Daniel! Agreed!
Thank you very much! This one is called "Major Misunderstanding" 🎶
Perfect name! @@DanielKJohanssonTrombone
Looking forward to the "minor misunderstanding"!
That is actually a great idea! 😁👍
I remember the amount of times I was completely oblivious to the tune the band was playing. I seriously dnt know how I coped ,never heard the tune before just told name of tune , I managed to get into the swing of the thing n played
