Was at Tiger Day at Bovington this last Saturday and got to see the FV4005 in person, absolutely cracking job on that Joe, I mean we all know Ted did most of the work.
Your experience is an absolute match for my philosophy- sheer bloody mindedness and bad language will eventually get most things done! Moving a T 34 solo, that was a big ask; should be very proud of yourself Joe.
For what it's worth Mr Hewes that T-34 is being rebuilt in more advanced facilities than where it was originally manufactured Bentley looks nice in the background 👍 Ted, you are doing a superb job work considering the workforce you have 😂
Wow, I can’t believe it, I was hooked on your channel, the first time I watched you guys with the T-34 and it’s been 2yrs already. It seems like it’s gone full circle since then. Watching you, Jack and the rest of the guys work and have fun is enjoyable and even watching your girlfriend getting involved in some of the projects. Excited to see you catching up on the T-34. Cheers to you all.
I’ve gotta say that Im Impressed with Teds organisational skills in keeping you boys in-line but also his impressive collection of fire extinguishers at 12:20. He does look a proud lad.
0:26 It's amazing to see how well that engine is running knowing full well what had gone so terribly wrong inside it. Stands as a testament to how rugged those engines were! Inefficient, smoky, crude as they were, they would run when others won't.
That JCB to handler is the absolute MVP! What a beast! Gotta say, I love these videos more now knowing that there most likely has been tanks on this property before, back when they could have seen action 👍🏼
Toptastic glad lord Teddy is staying dry in all this rain Good result getting that shifted on your own sometimes when your on your own it's amazing what you get done with sheer determination 💪 Grab a cider 🤠
“This could be extremely sketchy” …. haha 😅 why do you think we all love and watch your vids? It’s either on fire, extremely sketchy or ted! And not necessarily in that order 👍🙂 please don’t stop doing what you do best
I used to work for Linde lift building the fork lifts, in order to move or tow the lift truck you have to unlock the hydraulic motor and brake system, look at the brake valve and you will find a grease nipple. Insert grease with your grease gun manually until the brakes are released. Do not use too much pressure as you will damage the system. You will find the complete procedure in the operator manual that must be with the truck, probably in the pouch behind the seat
Simple physics Mr Hewes, the hull has more wheels to spread the weight, the turret was on a dolly with small casters so it was guaranteed to dig in. 😉.
Yours is the only channel that l tick the ‘like’ button immediately. I don’t even do that for the Aus Armour and Artillery museum, and l live in Queensland. Good on yer mate ❤🇦🇺
Your the man and working single crewed I thought it was just me that did that. Not to mention the fact these things and put together using huge gantry systems. Well done and a great video.
The easiest way ive found to move heavy things on small wheels on a yard is planking or strips of ply , tedious but if you haven't got the pulling power it's an option ..... During the 50s onward my grandfather had to plank his Dozer sometimes 30miles to get to the next job as lowbeds etc weren't available..... He had a team of men for this , apparently they often were very long days....... Great job anyways with your mission , I see you had Chisel head on the job also ! 😉🙃😎 NZ
I'd come over and help, but I'm in northern Idaho. Help with the tanks - I'm not a mason. But I am a mechanic and spent some time as an M2 Bradley turret mech.
The place I work at has various Linda's from 2 tons to 7 tons , they all lift well over those ratings. I'd still like a Tank preferably a Cromwell, only chance of that is a stick together airfix job. Great entertainment beats ordinary tv hands down cheers 👍
Why was the Turret such a barsteward and the main body so easy ? In two simple words--- Bigger Wheels ! When you've got nothing to do 🤣, you need to adapt that dolly and fit Bigger wheels, eg. something like Land Rover Wolf style. You would need to fabricate some sort of stub axles so you don't alter the overall height much and get rid of those Piano size casters. Love the channel, thanks for taking the time to share what you love doing😊.
You need to drill a hole in the end off your pallet tyne, you then can put a pin in pointing skyward with a clip to clamp to the tyne. You can then move things around using the pin and straps and chains cannot slip off
Oh bugger.... few expressions are better to say. Nicely done and Teddy was in control, no worries. Jack not wandering about moaning about his mum was nice too, Cheers mate.
Good video. The work will go better and more smoothly once you have painted out and weather sealed the workshop. Right work proceeds from right thinking which proceeds from right surroundings. Good job moving that yourself. And to think I pat myself on the back because I managed to get the Harrison milling machine I am restoring out of my workshop to paint strip it, by myself. Mind you, I don't have a forklift or a telehandler.
I'm not especially mechanically minded but I like to think I know the difference between a supercharger and a turbo. I'm also not an habitual UA-cam viewer either. However, I did want to say just how captivated I've been by this channel in the few days simnce I found it. You guys/girls/dogs are obviously living your best life and its been huge fun to watch. I also love how you show/explain how certain bits of machinery work/fail/get fixed (More please!). My only complaint is that Ive struggled to work out how to watch the T34 restoration in order. Keep it up and Viva Ted!
Now that I’ve seen what lies underground, I can’t look at the inside of these buildings without wondering what they all were like in their former heyday.
I'm old enough to remember when Telehandlers started to appear on farms in my area , such a handy tool to have at ones disposal (obviously not as handy as Ted and the Foden) and so much better than a Fordson power major with a shitty loader on it like we had lol
Regarding your emblem painted on the front of the T-34, I also saw on the OT-64 SKOT an emblem of a dog’s profile within a badge, which I think I’ve seen before, logically Polish or Czechoslovakian military perhaps. You really should create a similar emblem for all your vehicles using Ted’s profile. Once he’s noticed you painting your own name on the tanks, Poo will probably insist on it.
Weather has been ##### every time I step outside it chucks it down....I can't stop wearing shorts until the clocks change (it's just a thing) and I have no idea where my work jacket is 🤦♂️. Anyway appreciate the video and we'll done one getting stuff done.
The problem is that Linda doesn’t identify as a Foden 🏴👍🏻
This is true 🤣

The Foden has an awesome engine note. *no innuendo!

Totally awesome to see the tanks and community y’all built. So inspiring. Mr Hewes y’all have a great evening.

I'm sure you're right. I think for the Battle of Lenningrad they came out of the factory unpainted and went straight in to fight.
@@stco2426 yep unpainted and with the drivers trench coat folded up to act as a seat

That gorgeous Rolls-Royce looks so out of place there. Love it!

Can't believe it's already been 2 years! Thanks for all your hard work, Mr Hewes!
Hewes is the type of guy ... who can do just about anything ... and we bunch will watch ... just like the Grand British Trio.
You look like the Joker driving that T34
Never been to Spain

Very impressive and I find moving cars on the drive a chore!!
Well Mr Hewes, that 2 years has gone by fast,, nice to see the T-34 on the move again. 👏👏👏
Well done, Ted, he couldn't have done it without you.
The dogs playing in the background throughout the video are cute.
Just Ted having a break

Nicely done Ted. Joe should have gotten you to move the turret as well...
Good to see Ted & chisel head having some fun together.
Thank you for bringing us along!

Impressive driving, always a pleasure watching. thanks.
Legendary effort Mr H, felt sure you were heading for a little touch (hull vs wall ) towards the back of the workshop.....cracking job 😊

So nice to see Ted educating the next generation
'Getting back on track' oh you are such a one Mr Joe. 😂😂👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Left or right 😉 which way does it swing.
Very punny.
Brilliant video, Joe. Real life behind the scenes and huge struggles
It was great to see Ted enjoying a play with his friend. We works far too hard to skip an opportunity for some fun!
Fantastic work as a solo warrior sir!
So great!!! the world is going to hell in a handbasket this morning but Mr. Hewes is providing an excellent distraction by moving a T-34 around.
🤣 I keep away from the outside world
Wrong title! Joe discovers how to be a project manager!!!
TED won't be happy, that's his job!!!! 😂😂😂
Glad Ted was there to help you move the tank and turret nice job 👍👍👍👍👌👌👌😁
Welcome to the latest episode of One Man and his Dog!!
Always a joy to watch this channel!! It makes my day
nice seeing you at tiger day. loved seeing the new spud fv005. walked past you as we entered tiger day by the main arena. love your channel
Really looking forward to seeing the T-34 fully restored. One of my favourite looking tanks.👍😎🇦🇺❤️

Never enough space in the sheds and never enough sheds ............... I feel your pain!
The whole job would’ve gone a lot smoother if you would’ve consulted Teddy first just saying☝🏻😉
20 extinguishers! Fire safety conscious, I see! Me too.
The fact it lasted so long while in bits still amazes me

Excellent work Mr.Hewes👍
Ted good days work never a dull moment .
The little shop is a great “diorama” inspiration for us tank modellers, great video, tea time lad.

Gotta say, it sounded fantastic when it ran. So burbly and throaty. Definitely the voice of an engine that started smoking at a young age. 🚬
Subbed for the t-34 all those years ago. Stuck around cause the content is 10/10
You could use an epoxy primer, it's waterproof and sticks amazingly
Excellent, as always. C
Great round up and handy that Ted rounded you up.
You only needed to have that safety strap until you put it on, when it then becomes redundant lol
That's the best lone working safely video i have ever seen!
